This location and its staff provided exceptional service, which proved to be a lifesaver for me & my family. We were visiting colleges in DC when our SUV started smoking as we were leaving to go back home. We pulled into a nearby gas station, inspected the truck, but we were uncertain about the nature of the problem. We were approximately two miles from the highway and promptly searched for nearby auto shops. We discovered that MIDAS was still open, albeit for less than an hour. The staff at this location promptly identified the issue, which was a locked-up brake caliper. They obtained the necessary parts from another location, and the two mechanics worked diligently to rectify the problem. It was truly a collaborative effort to get us back on the road. Even the mechanic at the desk expediting the parts. Notably, this location could have easily postponed the repair until Monday, given the late hour, but instead chose to complete the job, which took an hour beyond their closing time. Their prompt service undoubtedly saved us a substantial amount of money. The staff were courteous, friendly and professional throughout the process, despite the employees being Dallas Cowboys fans; as we were Eagles and Redskins fans. It is indeed rare to encounter individuals who genuinely care about providing assistance. Thank you again for your exceptional service.

Midas RI Ave DC has absolutely impressed me with their quality workmanship and extensive knowledge well beyond brake repair. They thoroughly inspected the work from another brake shop competitor because of safety concerns and their evaluation revealed numerous flaws dismissed. Additionally the parts for my 07 vehicle are hard to find but they search and found parts with days and not months like the other place. They even went above and beyond to get my vehicle back before the holidays. It’s hard to find good decent repair shops that won’t try to rob you, so this location is my first call and primary stop for all my vehicles. Total satisfaction. Kudos to Reginal and crew. Job well done!!

Midas on Rhode Island Ave. NE is now my new go-to spot for service and repairs. I went in for a routine oil change and to check out why my engine was overheating. Reggie and Carlos took great care of me— explained what was going on, what I absolutely had to do to be roadworthy again, and worked with me on the pricing. It was an unexpected expense, but one I could definitely live with! I will be back to get my old girl back in tiptop shape!

I would like to retract this review based on my last two visits with this location. I highly recommend that you do not bring a model car to this location to be serviced!! Twice I brought my truck to this location to be fixed for the same issue and I have considered legal recourse for the disgraceful device I received .My truck was at this location from 7/12/25-7/29/25 and back again for the same reason from 8/2-9/14. 8 received no communication from the store and had to initiate contact to see what was happening. Also, I was told that parts were unavailable from auto stores or Amazon and we're on back order due to tarrifs. I went online and spoke with auto parts stores that had the parts in stock and found part on Amazon. This was relayed by me to the store and Reginald reached out to these stores and told me that they did not have the part. I asked him about the part on Amazon which I sent to him and they wanted me to order the part I asked them to order it because I was not a mechanic and he would discuss it with the owner and let me know but never did follow up. I was informed that part was ordered but not from Amazon but through Toyota and would arrive two weeks later. When I picked up my truck the work that should be covered under warranty they wanted to charge me over $900 dollars. The manager and store cannot be trusted to give customer service and follow up on your vehicle.

I went to fix my car, paid 1000 dollars and over (because I went twice )!!! and still the same issue !! They told me it was battery issue and it was not!!! It was just coolant!!!! I regret ever going there ! I wish I could get my money back ! These people are fraud. No one should ! The receptionist don’t let people explain or even understand the issue and just guess . Help me get my money back
