I have used this mechanic several times and spent thousands with them to keep my 2011 Volvo C30 in good condition. But something has certainly changed that has resulted in my need to search for another option. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. I dropped off my car at 2am after it overheated and dropped off the key with a typed letter instructing them to address the overheating problem and change the oil. I had conversations during the estimating process with Art who gave me the quote of over $2000 to get the requested repairs done. I asked if there was a way to save money with non-oem parts. he stated he would look into it to see if thats an option. Next I got a text to approve the work for the similar estimate so I thought that the non oem part thing did not work out. When I went to pick up the vehicle I confimed that they had used OEM but they said they did not. I asked about the total why was it not discounted and they said well it was, but the difference was under $100. I asked how could it be with a difference so small they could not have let me know so I could have opted for OEM, they just said we did what you asked, saved you money. I felt so enraged. When I got home and looked at the invoice I also noticed that the oil change was not charged, i called only to confirm they incompetently forgot. HOwever, they did not forget to add a list of over $4000 of additional work the car needed, never having a conversation with me regarding those services or how soon I would need them. I told them the least they could do for my travel back to their shop is give me an oil change free. They said the owner makes that decision. I have been calling to speak to the absent owner "paul" when Art finally told me he is not very involved and through a phone conversation he agreed to discount the oil change. He did not even bother to return any of my three calls. People DO NOT go here its not what it was.
