As a single female, I’ve used A & S Auto Clinic to service my vehicles for years. I’ve always been treated with respect and given top priority by the owners and technicians. I’ve never felt like repairs were being added to a list to break my pocket. The technicians always provides great service and I leave knowing I have an auto clinic that I can trust.

Disorganized and Frustrating for a Simple New Car Inspection I booked a Maryland State Inspection through Groupon. The earliest appointment was a week out. This was a voluntary inspection for a brand-new car, not something the state required. That matters because when you're voluntarily bringing your car in, you expect at least a little courtesy and clear communication. When I showed up, I was told the inspection would “take a while.” No one told me how long. I ended up waiting four hours. Later, I was told the delay happened because a head inspector had shown up and the staff had to deal with something else first. I had a scheduled appointment for a simple inspection and still got pushed to the side. When I came back to pick up my car, they told me it had failed. The only issue was the tint. No one had asked if I had a medical exemption, and no one mentioned that tint could be an automatic fail before even starting the inspection. I do have an exemption, and I said so when they told me why it failed. The inspector said it was too late. The report had already been submitted, and there was nothing they could do. I was told I had to drive to Glen Burnie and speak to the State Police to fix it. This was my first time doing a state inspection in Maryland. I didn’t know tint alone could cause a failure, and it never crossed my mind that they wouldn’t at least ask before marking it down. Because of this, I had to take another day off work, drive over an hour to Glen Burnie, and get it cleared. All of this could have been avoided with one simple question at the start. After I got the issue resolved, I called to ask if I could come back. I was told the inspector would be in at 9:30, but no one gave me an actual time to show up. I arrived at noon, which was the earliest I could manage, and was met with attitude right away. The woman at the front desk asked why I was “so late” and told me I’d have to wait. Then she walked over to the inspector and said, “he’s going to wait, right?” The inspector actually took care of it right away, which I appreciated. That was the only part of this whole process that didn’t waste my time. If he had just mentioned the tint issue during the first visit, none of this would have happened. The front desk talks in a way that sounds polite on the surface, but it comes off passive-aggressive. She kept repeating that they “used to be able to make exceptions on tint but not anymore.” I don’t know if that’s true or just something they say to avoid dealing with customers. For a voluntary inspection on a new vehicle, the experience was unnecessarily difficult. I wouldn’t come back to this place again.

I attempted goin for the second time hoping I’ll get a better customer service because than the first time. my car had a great service but the front desk person is so rude and stressful she had no business to talk to customer with an annoyed attitude she acted both appointments lik she was doin me a favor. The shop is great and recommend it but i hope the stuff was a little be respectful. I don’t know if I’ll be back again but i hope the management see this issue properly don’t let one person devalue your shop.

A receptionist should always welcome customers and make them feel at home. That was not what I experienced when I went to this business. I arrived about 19 minutes early and the receptionist told me it’ll be a wait because the guy is on lunch. That was fine with me. A couple minutes later she mentions how the service for my car would take 3 hours and asked am I staying? I must of looked shocked because I said No, I didn’t know” but i’m standing there wondering where was I supposed to go on foot for 3 hours? There’s chairs in there. There’s a TV in there. Why not offer me the opportunity to sit and wait for my car to get serviced while watching TV? I usually go to Airpark AutoPros which is right on the other side. I messed up by booking this place on Groupon. It was a very unwelcoming experience and i’ll never return or recommend this place to anyone.
