A small bracket broke on the part of my car that the mud flap is attached to, causing the piece that goes around the wheel to flap when I was driving at 55 mph or faster. You would not believe what the dealership wanted to charge me to replace the entire part that goes around the wheel. I took my car to Base Auto Body praying they could make the repair for less then the dealership was going to charge. When I arrived at the shop, I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who looked at the car. He had one of his service men come out and look at it. They took the car into the shop as I was taken to their awaiting area. About 10 minutes later, the original gentleman came and said the repair had been made. They charged me nothing. It goes to show that there are still reputable companies/people in this world. I would definitely recommend this repair shop. I think they are reputable and honest. - Janet Lewis

Base Auto Body damaged my car's radio during repairs. When I confronted Jeff, he told me that it was due to a pre-existing computer fault. When I pointed out that the computer has no way of knowing if the screen is damaged, he changed his story and said it was actually due to the "porous" nature of the LCD screen. Unfortunately for Jeff, I work with LCDs for a living, have an intimate understanding of how they work, and know this to be false. After pointing out that it is not physically possible for an LCD to crack itself without some kind of external energy applied, he stopped responding. I would like to think that someone was just having a bad day, but I feel like the very least you can do is own up to your mistakes--not lie to my face in the hope that I'm ignorant enough to believe you. Garage-keeper's insurance exists for a reason as accidents happen. But lying to a customer to avoid making a claim just shows you have no integrity. I've since filed with the Maryland Attorney General's office and while that will likely take months before it gets resolved, I wanted to make a public review in order to warn others. In response to Base Auto Body's reply: The Insurance company investigated and decided it was not a result of the original accident and that they would not be covering the repair. They did NOT determine (or make a judgement one way or another) that the damage was pre-existing. If anything, their finding that the damage was not a result of the original accident shows that it occurred while my car was in the care of Base Auto Body. Meaning that it wasn't the fault of the insured and would have to be worked out with Base Auto Body. While Base Auto Body claims to have photos of my car the day I dropped it off, I have never seen these photos and they wont share them with me when I asked to see them.

Base Auto body did an exceptional job on my Honda Accord. It looks like it was never in an accident. Jeffrey was very professional and kept my insurance company in the loop on repair time. My insurance company followed up with me. When I picked the car up it was cleaned and detailed on the inside. I wasn’t expecting that. I would recommend this shop to all my family and friends who need body work done. Thank you for everything!

I had a very pleasant experience with the staff at Base Auto Body. Not only are they logistically close to my home, but the staff made me feel welcomed at each arrival. Michelle is professional and friendly. I enjoyed speaking with her. Also, the staff at Base went above and beyond. Aside from repairing my car, they gave my vehicle a much needed cleaning inside and outside. I will definitely use them again if I need auto body repairs!
