Dale was absolutely top notch. His customer service is out of this world. He was very patient and super helpful working with a warranty company that put up a fight (and an OCD control freak customer, yes I am not the easiest customer to work for lol). Dale was always concerned about me as the customer first throughout the whole process. I recommend Dale and Better Built Transmissions to anyone and everyone who needs transmission work on their vehicles.

The dude Dale is super nice. He sold me a few parts I needed for a trans build even though he doesn't sell parts. Would definitely recommend, being that a stand up guy like that with great customer service will also most likely stand by his work as well.

My husband took his truck to have the transmission replaced. The first one we bought was not in good working order, which BetterBuilt advised us of before installing it, so we're thankful for that. They seem to have done a good job with the install of the second transmission, however they changed the price on us repeatedly and we feel taken advantage of. We were originally quoted $400 for the job (it's an F-150... not something that should be hard to quote) and once we payed to get it there, were told it was going to be more complicated and cost an additional $175 (what!!?). The shop eventually agreed to split the difference when we told them were going to take it to the junk yard since we didn't plan for, and couldn't afford, an increase in price by that much. THEN at pickup they charged us an extra $15 for 4 bolts they needed to add... seriously? And the icing on the cake... obviously most people work and can't get to the shop during business hours for pickup, and they wanted to charge us an extra $25 to pay over the phone - a service that is typically FREE at auto shop. We will NEVER use them again and will NEVER recommend them for these reasons... cheating us out of extra money is shady and poor business practice.

I bought my uncle's 99 Toyota Solara SLE with around 190,000 miles in 2017. Shortly after purchase I had some maintenance to address. After setting up an appointment, the Westminster Toyota dealership declined to change the transmission fluid based on age of the car. I took it here, and they did a great job. The owner explained things in detail, and said that there should be no issues performing a drain and fill + filter change. The car has shifted better ever since the service was performed, and I am very happy with the experience to this day. I will definitely take my vehicle back here the next time I need a fluid change as it recently rolled over 215,000 miles with zero issues.

Got a 4l80e (gm truck) from a junk yard and put it in my truck to replace the one I had originally (thinking this would be cheaper initially) it ran alright for 2 weeks before it started shifting bad and wouldn't go into second and I noticed the rear main seal was dripping. I ran it like this for 4 months before I could barely get it to move, I took it out and was referred to Dale from a friend who had a few of the same trans done by him. When I dropped it off I told him what was happening, he ball parked it for me and in the end it was close. I've had it in and running for 2 months and I've never had it shift this smooth since I bought the truck. Long story short, get it done right the first time!
