Cal’s auto repair had the most fantastic service. I had a car issue on the highway that got me pretty stressed and overwhelmed, but I was able to get towed to Cal’s and they fixed my car within the next few hours. I am from out of town, so I was not familiar with the region, but they got me in super quickly, off hours on a Sunday, got all the new parts, and on top of that were the friendliest people ever!! They explained everything that they did and why which was really nice to know and hear. They sent me on my way home and were super affordable. Thank you so much for all the help.

I took my son’s car there to have a module connection cleaned and rewired. They did a fantastic job. While it was there I asked them to place 4 new tires on it. They did as requested. I drove it the 15 miles home and went to pull the tires off and found that all 20 of them were tightened well beyond what my electric impact was capable of handling which was a first. Keep in mind they were the last ones to touch the wheels. The owner gave a complete BS reason that didn’t include someone completely not paying attention to what they were doing when tightening down the lug nuts. To suggest the lugs tighten on their own after a short drive is insulting. There is a reason why it’s common practice to retorque lug nuts after 100 miles of driving. It’s because they loose! After two attempts to get someone to remove them I dropped it off. When I showed up after it being there a week I was hit with $130 bill for their removal. Any reputable shop would have NEVER considered charging for a follow up to a repair THEY did. I’m giving up the low rating because of the dishonesty and lack of integrity. I definitely recommend other places. They came recommended as a closer VW mechanic, but I’ll be making the drive to Hagerstown or Morgantown in the future.

My first car was an ’01 VW Golf. It was a great car, but it left me on the side of the road more times than I’d care to admit. Every time it decided to have a new problem, Robert was able to fix it and get me back on the road in no time. When I bought my second VW, I brought it here to get serviced and have the occasional repair done too. When I left home, my car became more of a burden to keep it maintained because I did not have a mechanic I could trust. The mechanics that I took it to in Oklahoma resulted in me being left on the side of the road every time I picked it up from the original service appointment. All of this to say, I now joke with my family about coming home, just so I can take my car to Robert have him look at it. My family and I have been taking our VW’s here for years and will not take them anywhere else to get worked on.
