I was referred to Cecils for an alignment after some work done. Since I have owned my truck, any time I go in the shop I always ask how the front end is due to wanting to be on top of the vehicles maintenance. I have never been told anything bad. Well, when your vehicle is pushing 300k miles, expect things to need replacement. I went in for an alignment and suggested a few extra things. After a while I was called and was told there was definitely more than meets the eye to the suggested repairs. Generally that's a bad thing for people, but I was dying for my vehicle to be as best as it can be. After going as far as I could aside from some adjustable control arm, I was told my truck was ready. It has never in all it's years tracked as straight as it did after visiting Cecil's. For a lowered truck basically at its limit, it rides better than expected. Cecil's was very honest and open about repairs and giving their input. I felt zero pressure dealing with them and am excited to bring other vehicles to them.

Went in for a four-wheel alignment and I found out I needed a tie rod but they still got me out in one day. I'm happy

I went here to get a wheel alignment on my truck. I informed them that I had replaced the parts on my truck and that the steering wheel was not properly aligned when I adjusted the drag link. They did an inspection of my brakes system instead and told me what I already knew. Also they told me that one of my ball joints was to tight. I didn’t know that a place that specialized in doing alignments required that brake system be checked to complete a wheel alignment. Furthermore I did not realize that if a nut is to tight that it could not be loosen. There’s no adjustment required on a ball joint to preform a wheel alignment. Ball joints are just for pivoting. They are either good or bad. I replaced all the ball joints with brand new ones so they were not bad. I also did not know that they did not know how to turn the steering wheel to the correct position and adjust a drag link back in. Which is basically adjusting the tid rods to the proper position to strengthen out the steering to align with the wheel. I used to use Dorrs Texaco in the past for wheel alignment because they were honest and never tried to up sell you on anything because they didn’t want your business. I realized that Cecil alignment center is like the local bar. They only catered to their friends and neighbors. So if you don’t live in Edgewater or the south river area you might want to check elsewhere for a business that actually knows how to preform a wheel alignment and not tell you that you need your brakes system repaired to do a wheel alignment.

What great service. I popped it w/o an appt to have them diagnose a metallic popping sound in the front end of my truck. They were booked solid out over a week. However, they told me if I could be here when they open in 2 days, they would look at it while I wait. They did, and it was only a loose track bar bolt, which they tightened to spec. Only wanted $20 for the 25 minutes I was there. Honest service. They could have made some story up and changed out parts that didn't need it. And they didn't charge an hour minimum diagnosis / labor charge. I'd heard they do great front-end work, so I will be happy to give them my business again when there really is an issue.

Been to cecils several times. I've lived in the area for over 30 years. Never again, will I go back there. I paid over $2500 to get some work done on my car. When I finally picked my car up after a couple weeks. Cause they were busy. My car was driving the same way. When I drove away i noticed my engine light was on "NEVER WAS ON BEFORE "and no improvement with my car same symptoms!!!!!! So i turned right around. Then he said I needed a cadillac converter. ($1,900)....So all the previous work I just paid for was a waste. Unbelievable!!!!! And when I talk to several other mechanic shops. He tripled charged what other places charge. And now I'm out $2500. And the problem obviously was never fixed in the first place!!!!! It's sad!!!! Where can I find a trust worthy mechanic?smh
