I felt like I wasn't getting taken advantage of with the pricing and I appreciate the recommendations that I was given. I plan on returning for tire replacement ment.

I want to share my recent experience to warn others about what I believe to be highly deceptive and unethical practices at this inspection station. I was charged $175 for a Maryland State Vehicle Inspection, even though their website still lists the price as $75–$80. This price discrepancy was never communicated upfront. What’s worse, the sign displaying the $175 price was only posted after I had already been charged—and after 30 days had passed. It was not present during my initial visit, suggesting that the change was either not in effect at the time or deliberately hidden. When I questioned the inflated price, I was told that “the state of Maryland requires it”—a completely false and misleading claim. The Maryland Vehicle Administration does not set or mandate inspection pricing; each station is free to set its own fees. This business used false advertising, misleading explanations, and post-dated signage to justify overcharging. Their behavior is not only dishonest, but it also wastes customers’ time and hard-earned money. I strongly advise anyone in need of a vehicle inspection to avoid this shop and seek out a transparent and reputable alternative. Always verify pricing before agreeing to service—and beware of businesses that do not honor what they publicly advertise. ⸻
