I drove from California to Maryland via interstate 40. The roads were full of huge pot holes and the front end of my Subaru was damaged. Not knowing a reliable repair shop in the Columbia area, I had to search based on online reviews. I tried several shops that all have "front desk service" (including dealers) and none of them really understood and investigated the condition thoroughly. After several months, I realized that my mistake was dealing with middle persons not the real mechanic. The experience has been very disturbing. By chance, my neighbor suggested that I should try out Columbia Family Auto Care in Jessup. Young is the mechanic that owns the shop. He is very experienced and pays interest in hearing out my description of the car symptoms. Now, my Subaru is back on the road with smooth rides. What a good feeling !

Went in for a simple oil change. Made an appointment for 9:30am and was out by 10am. Mr. Young was kind and courteous, and it was amusing to hear him singing to the radio as he worked on the car. It was an overall refreshing experience to auto repair. I'll be back.

This is our go-to auto repair shop. They do excellent work and their prices are reasonable. We have been bringing our cars to Mr. Kim for over 10 years. We have also recommended the shop to several friends.

This is an awesome repair shop. What happened to me was the place where I got inspection told me to fix the wheel bearing and I flew so many places to fix the bearing since they were too expensive and this place is so honest that they inspected again, but the problem was the tire not the expensive wheel bearing. They charged me the tire rotation fee only and kindly told me about the tiny problem I had about the tire. If I would have been to different place, I would have to fix the normal, good bearings with so much money.

The customer service isn't the best. I have been told that my cost for CV axles that are leaking grease can be anywhere from $500 to $1500 which is not reasonable range. Anyway my CV axles are just leaking grease and they need new boots not the whole thing
