VERY DISAPPOINTED! On 12/12/25 I stopped at Rising Sun Crouch Automotive to schedule an appointment & described to Christian (Crouch Automotive employee at the counter) the issues of concern. On 12/16/25 @ 9:40 a.m. I took my vehicle to the appointment with the few specific issues that I again communicated to Christian. Issue #1: neither key fob unlocked or started the vehicle (the main reason for taking my vehicle to a shop). I told him I had already tried 5 new batteries in the one key fob & 2 new batteries in the other. Issue #2: the driver's side window goes down but doesn't always go back up easily, that it would eventually go up, however, while I have the vehicle at the shop, could that be checked. Issue #3: three lights on the dash (I showed a photo) stay on, however, don't affect the performance of the vehicle. Additionally, I mentioned a slow leak in the passenger side back tire that I periodically have to put air in that has been ongoing for over a year or two. It had previously been looked at by a dealership & nothing was found. However, if they could find the leak that would be great, otherwise, I'll just keep putting air in it (not really an issue). I also said to Christian that IF the mechanic HAPPENS to see anything I should be concerned about to PLEASE CALL to let me know so that I could prioritize the work. I received a call from Christian @ 3:15 p.m. asking if I had changed the battery. I thought he meant the car battery so I gave him the date. He actually meant the key fob battery. I told him as I said before I tried brand new batteries in both key fobs. On a call at @4:30 he said he still wanted to try a new battery in the fobs. I told him I think the fobs need to be synced to the vehicle. When I picked up my vehicle @5 p.m. I was charged $318.57 for "diagnostic fees" only. NOTHING had actually been worked on to resolve the specific issues I had taken my vehicle to Crouch Automotive for. I HAD NOT been informed that my first visit was only to receive "diagnostic fees", the cost of the fees ($153.90 up to 1 hour) or that they charge multiple fees (@$153.90 up to 1 hour). I DIDN'T KNOW TO EVEN ASK! What a WASTE of my money on fees that could have gone to actual repairs. I got NOTHING for my money other than a typed pg of "estimate of services" ($2028.11 to work on the "diagnosed" items) & a typed invoice of their "labor description" ($318.57) which was their explanation of "diagnostic fees" for that appointment. Therefore, I'll have any repairs done somewhere else. My "diagnostic review" of Crouch Automotive & this costly experience is that I would NOT RECOMMEND them to anyone due to UNDISCLOSED COSTLY FEES imposed me for NOTHING. If the owner wants to reach out & somehow make this unfortunate experience right & fair for both parties, I'd appreciate that. I had expected a positive experience (based on reviews) which is why I chose this local service shop, however, it was NOT. The employee was nice, but as a representative of Crouch Automotive, he was not up front & honest with me regarding "diagnostic fees" (unforeseen imposed cost to customer), before doing any repairs. I made the appointment to get professional assistance to resolve a few issues of concern & pay a reasonable price for them to do so. My experience WAS NOT positive! It was costly for NOTHING! By the way what was the diagnostic method of the window issue? Push the window button down & up? Is that what cost me a fee (1 hour @$153.90 up to an hour)? I don't expect a service shop to work for nothing but I also don't expect to get absolutely NOTHING for $318.57. If I sound upset about my first & only experience with Crouch Automotive, it's because I am! I AM UPSET THAT I HAD TO WASTE MONEY ON UNDISCLOSED FEES! I regret paying the invoice without first requesting to speak with the owner! Update: A few days after picking up my vehicle, I learned from a professional not affiliated with Crouch Automotive (& w/NO diagnostic fee imposed) that I needed to take my key fobs to a dealership for reprogramming. Result - working key fobs now.

I had an excellent experience at Crouch Auto!! From the moment I walked in, the staff was professional, honest, and very knowledgeable. They took the time to explain what was going on with my car in a way I could understand, and they never tried to upsell unnecessary work. The service was fast and efficient I got my car back earlier than expected. The pricing was fair, and I really appreciated the transparency and integrity throughout the whole process. If you’re looking for a reliable, trustworthy mechanic who gets the job done right the first time, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!!! And thanks to the nice young man who assisted me Austin Crouch

I made an appointment on Tuesday to have work done my E-250 rv hightop. The guy look at my vehicle and said Thursday morning. I show up today Thursday at 8:10am and the same guy says sorry we can't work on it bc it's too high and won't raise high enough on the lift. I remember a day when mechanics used to crawl under cars to work. There excuse doesn't work unless they are just being lazy and didn't want to bend over. Im very disappointed with the scheduling supervisor for wasting 3 days of mine. I could have just found another place on Tuesday if he had just said so. Pathetic

Last week I had car issues driving up from VA. The car brake lights were out and the car was not accelerating. I did not know what to do, but came across Crouch Automotive. Even though it was almost closing time the mechanic took the time and effort to run diagnostics on the car to determine the issue. At one point three individuals came to check on the issues to troubleshoot. By the end of it they repaired a blown out tail light and made sure I was able to continue on my trip. They did not even charge for this service. I highly recommend this shop in case you find yourself in a similar situation or just need to have some work done on your car! Excellent customer service! Thank you.
