I have my 2023 Sportage in for service to check the hybrid system. At first, the advisor said it might take 2–3 days to run some tests. Today is the fourth day, and they still can’t figure out what’s going on. My wife has had to take three days off work because we don’t have a vehicle. Now they’re saying it could take a couple more days or even weeks, but they still have no loaner car to offer. What’s going on? Can no one fix cars at the dealership anymore?

Warning to every Kia EV9 owner (owned or lease), mine 8 months in, lease, less than 11k miles, high voltage battery fault, on dealer for more than 30 days. Spending on rental has been my biggest pain on top of my lease payment. KIA an unreasonable length of time to Kickstart the evaluation and repair. Coordination between dealer and Kia is not what I would expect at this price point. I am yet to receive a resolution to my vehicle. Wait 90 days? For a resolution?

**Absolutely Avoid This Dealership: Kia of Lanham, Maryland** I am writing this review to warn others about my incredibly negative experience with Kia of Lanham, Maryland. My car was in their possession for a staggering three weeks, and the entire ordeal was a nightmare. From the beginning, the dealership displayed a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. They misled me about the necessary repairs, provided false timelines for completion, and failed to communicate effectively throughout the process. The customer service representatives, Jazymn and Steven, were particularly deceitful, consistently lying about when my car would be ready. Even one occasion, lying about the IT outage of 2024 affected my car being seen when that happened a week after they had my car in their possession. I chose this dealership because I was able to make an appointment within 3 days after my car stalled out of nowhere upon exiting highway with no check engine warning. On the actual day of the appointment, they failed to actually check out my car and even citied that other service repairs were being done on other vehicles even when I had a standing appointment. Despite repeated attempts to contact them, I never received a single voicemail. I later discovered that this was because my voicemail box was full, but their failure to call me on a different number or send a text message was a clear indication of their negligence. The manager's complete lack of responsiveness to my calls and emails was equally frustrating. Later I found out that the managers number is just the number to the facility. How the manager does not have a cell phone # listed on their card is beyond belief. When I finally decided to move my car to a different facility, I had a tow truck ready to transport it. However, the dealership's management intervened, preventing me from retrieving my vehicle. A staff member named Dani lied to me over the phone, claiming that I could come and pick up my car. I later realized that Dani was actually Jazymn. When I arrived, I was denied access and the police were called by me. The stress and frustration of this situation led me to tears and emotional distress. Upon leaving the facility, I even saw the staff and police laughing at me like it was a joke. This dealership's incompetence and dishonesty were not isolated incidents. I learned that a friend of mine had a similar experience with them around the same time, further solidifying my belief that this establishment should be avoided at all costs. If you are still reading this, you have been warned that I cannot recommend Kia of Lanham, Maryland to anyone. Their disregard for customers, their deceitful practices, and their complete lack of professionalism make them a company that I would never do business with again. Avoid at all cost.

Steven was the one in charge of my vehicle. He did a nice job and he kept me informed. He was also honest with me. I always need people to be honest. It’s a rare commodity these days.

They are the worst. The person in charge of the service center is very unprofessional. Our car has been at their service for a month and all they could say is that they can not fix it and we are welcome to pick up the car. Brand new car with 3,000 miles on it. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!
