I had him replace my engine back in the spring, however I had given them replacement injector studs which were not ever installed. They also reused a bolt that had a torx head, but was tack welded a bolt on top to get it off (By me previously to get it off), which had backed off. They also never cleaned the injectors, which I thought would have been done out of curtesy. I had told them, do not spare any expense, including gaskets, in which they reused old crush washer injector seals, which are a 1 time use. Additionally, they replaced a throw-out bearing at the time because they said it was faulty. They threw out the BRAND NEW ONE supplied by the engine building company that I had been in contact with and honestly made me look terrible. I was trying to refund it. They have replaced my oil filter housing too, which was done well, but they never bled the coolant system and introduced a large air bubble that nearly caused my car to overheat.

Car breakdown near McConnellsburg, PA, on Friday afternoon July 12. Engine overheated due to leak. Called towing service and left car at Dick’s Auto Repair, keys and contact info in mail box per instructions from customer service. Shop owner called Monday morning, July 15 with repair estimate. Car was repaired and ready to pick up Tuesday afternoon on July 16. The repair & labor costs were reasonable. I was very impressed with the service provided for a small, local and Veteran owned shop. I definitely would recommend Dick’s Auto Repair.

Very positive customer experience and speedy service. They were very communicative about what parts my car needed, the cost, and what I could expect. They are not satisfied with solving the first problem that they come across-- they went the extra mile and identified other underlying problems that caused my vehicle to break down and ensured it was fixed. I was very pleased with their thoroughness and patience with keeping me up to date on the status of my vehicle.
