I had a problem with my Carrier reefer unit. The belt started wearing out and tearing, and sometimes it made a metallic knocking sound. I replaced the belt at the dealer two days ago, but it started tearing small pieces on the edge again. After they checked the unit, they said they found the problem on the part where the belt runs. They told me it was slightly bent and needed to be straightened, and that they would install a new belt. After they finished the repair, I started the reefer and let it run for about 10 minutes, and I could already see the belt tearing small pieces on the edge again. So I paid for a repair that did not solve the problem and lost an entire day.
