The only place I will take my car. Even though it was bad news, the staff at Jim Barbey Auto was honest. Older cars have problems. They “could have” done an expensive repair and I wouldn’t know any better (until the next problem). No one enjoys spending money on repairs, I don’t, especially Big Ones! When I have to take such a risk, these guys have my back and people like that are a Rare Find.

Developed a vibration/rattle in the rear of our Nissan Rogue on a trip returning to Maryland. Found several places where the splash guards had come loose and repaired them but noise was still present and worried that it may be some drive shaft or suspension issues that I could not detect. Set up an appointment with Jim Barbey and they were able to get me in right away. Turns out it was another guard that was loose and was really hard to see but the tech was able to find it and make the appropriate repair. He also assured me that he verified there were no safety issues with the vehicle and that was very comforting to know. The charge for the time was very reasonable and I found that the folks here are very warm and welcoming and definitely professional. Very clean and sharp looking shop as well which to me is a good indication of a class outfit. Finally, there was no attempt to upsell any services which I find too often at other places. Great place!!!

Car shook,engine light on. I chose to pay 14 extra miles towing because I trust Barbey to treat me honestly. Another place would have sold me an engine! Told the truth and minor repairs. Car rides like new. Finished it in time for me to get a ride to pick it up! Couldn't be happier or recommend more strongly!

The only place I take my car for repairs. The most honest and knowledgeable place around. The staff is wonderful. They will fit you in whenever you call. To beat it all, the owner is so humble. Just would recommend this place to anyone.
