I’ve been going to Jose for oil changes for my car for over a year. I decided to take my car to jiffy lube two days ago to get an oil change since it was quicker. Jiffy lube informed me they could not change my oil due to drain plug being damaged. When I asked how is drain plug damaged (I was taking my car to Subaru prior to coming to Jose and never had this issue) jiffy lube staff informed me that whoever did my oil change last (Jose team) welded the drain plug. I then reached out to Jose asap to ask him why did his team weld my drain plug and why wasn’t I notified and his response was “I don’t know, but bring it in and we can fix it, it’s not that much to have it replaced.” I am highly upset that 1. he doesn’t know what’s apparently going on his shop. 2. The communication between him/team to the customer is terrible 3. He’s said “it doesn’t cost a lot” when this is my money I’m having to spend for the negligence of him and his crew. I went to two different mechanical professionals and was told my drain pan had to be completely removed due to Jose’s team welding the drain plug. This is highly unacceptable that now I have to pay $640 out of my pocket because his team doesn’t know what they’re doing. People will tell you his prices are great, but at what cost? I’m not willing to pay less for his crew to recklessly damage my vehicle any further.
