Once again, Kia of Bowie came through with 5 stars. I cannot say enough good things about Jeremy and Cortez. Always on top of the situation. Very fair, knowledgeable, and honest group.

I was there for service on 13 November 2024 and will never go back. My Telluride blacked out lug nuts on my 2022 Nightfall were stolen while my car was left for service. I didn’t realize until two days later when I washed my car. I now have a blacked out tire lock with regular lug nuts. The Service Manager was incredibly rude, dismissive and condescending. I don’t recommend Kia of Bowie for any service, especially for women customers. I am still waiting for Kia of Bowie to right this wrong.

Both of my USB charging cables were stolen out of the car at the dealership. Including the one kept inside the console as a backup. Technicians left broken glass inside the door panel. Loose, rattling glass, inside the door. I had to make a request with the service agent to have the technicians remove the broken glass. The car was brought in for service due to an attempted theft that destroyed the ignition and triggered the immobilizer. The ignition was technically left in the on position until it killed the battery. The battery should have been included in the service package and covered under my comprehensive. The car wouldn't start upon pick-up. I had to wait for them to install a new battery under warranty. Absolute clown show. The service rep was a saint, though. 5/5 for the rep. *Photo included. The white charging cable was still present after the car was vandalized.

I took my 2018 KIA Optima in to Bowie KIA this morning to take care of the Trunk Release Recall that I had received. I waited for the car and when the recall work was completed the service rep advised me that the battery needed to be replaced immediately at a cost of $439 (see attached photo) even though it has worked perfectly for the last 11 months since it was installed by AAA. I load tested the battery when I returned home and confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the battery and AAA also verified there was nothing wrong with the battery. At this point I can only assume that this was an attempted scam to fleece me out of the cost for replacing a perfectly fine battery.

I had a very disappointing experience at the Kia of Bowie Service Department. I stood at the service desk while three service advisers completely ignored me. Two of them made direct eye contact with me but still didn’t say a word—not even a simple acknowledgment that I was there. Customer service is about more than just fixing cars; it’s about making customers feel valued. A simple “We’ll be with you shortly” would have made a huge difference. Instead, I was left feeling like my presence didn’t matter. This is a clear opportunity for Kia of Bowie to provide better customer service training to their team—at the very least, they should acknowledge customers when they walk in. I hope they improve because this kind of treatment is unacceptable.
