This review is long overdue. I have been taking my car to Richard Linder for almost 10 years, and my wife for many years before that -- at this same Waverly location. He always does excellent work, is very knowledgeable about cars and local referrals, and his estimates for work are always very fair and honest. He doesn't hard sell you and is sensitive to accommodating car owners' concerns. And he's a straight up good guy. I'm surprised there aren't more reviews here -- I remember there being hundreds. I'm happy to add mine here, and if you appreciate his work you should too! 🙂

I’ve been taking my car to Mr. Linder for several years. Mr. Linder is the best. Super trustworthy and efficient. He’ll tell you what repairs need to be done right now and what can wait. He’s also gotten my car fixed up quickly when it was urgent. I’m very grateful to Linder Automotive and I don’t take my car anywhere else. Highly recommended!

Yeah this guy is the goods. Does exceptional work with a very reasonable turnaround, will absolutely let you know over the phone if he thinks there's a cheap fix worth trying, and will give you a detailed diagnosis of estimated repairs, workarounds, costs, and timelines (within reason) if/when your car is in a death spiral and you just need a few more months of getting from point A to point B. And as a bonus, if you get him talking, you'll also learn something new about cars 100% of the time.

This place has been around forever and has been very straight forward with work and pricing. SUPER strange that google removed tons of reviews on a locally owned neighbor place operating more than 25 year.
