I brought my VW Jetta to Lucky Auto Repair for a clutch replacement. The shop gave the car back without a receipt, without explaining any issues, and without properly reinstalling the transmission. Days later, the transmission started sagging, coolant burst out, and the car became completely undrivable. When I returned asking for help, the shop refused responsibility. Only after I reported the problem did they print a new invoice that suddenly included “coolant is leaking,” which they never mentioned at pickup. Their workmanship and documentation practices are extremely concerning. The photo attached shows the condition of the transmission after their repair — bolts/mounts appear loose or improperly reinstalled. I have filed an official complaint with the Maryland Attorney General (Case MU-529176) because of the safety issues and how the situation was handled. I strongly recommend that customers use caution and verify all work and paperwork before leaving this shop.

Recently, I took my vehicle there for the first time for a water pump replacement. They were very friendly, did a great job, didn't charge me any extra fees above their quote, and also showed me other issues with my car and gave me a good estimated price if I want to do repair next time. Repair done on time. Very happy with the experience.

I highly recommend Lucky auto! I had my van sitting at another mechanic for a week. I finally went and got my van and took it to Lucky on Tuesday afternoon, and Dee said they could work on Wednesday. But Wednesday afternoon he called and let me know the the OEM sensor is not availabe at dealer today but can be deliverd friday and thursday was thanksgiving, if i want aftermarket that can be install today but not recomended, i had to wait one extra day, which i dont mind as i prefer good work then one extra day. My van is running as new, no vibration anymore, I had my van back in great working condition!

Nope! Just Nope! 1st time amd last time customer. Went for a axle replacement. After repair finish and bill been paid. starting to hear rapid clicking on acceleration. I already knew they didnt torque the axle bolt. Lucky trying to tell me "my technician is experienced and they tightened the nut with a gun." Red flag already! Good thing I had my torque wrench in the car. Axle nut was finger loose! I explained what if i got in a car accident or worst, die? Homie said "i got insurance". I said OK, then walk away. NO ACCOUNTABILITY... Im ASE Certified technician. I worked with BMW, AUDI, Mazda, and Honda at a high level. Only reason why i didnt fix my car my self because its 12 degree outside. Dont worry. When it happen to a person that not experienced as me. Lets see if the insurance cover manslaughter on a technician...

I went to fix my car there, they have great service, excellent communication and the time limit was great. They figured the problem in few minutes that most of the shops couldn’t. I would definitely recommend to take you vehicle there. They’re the best
