Quick, professional, quality service. On December 23, I got an alert about my engine coolant and then noticed my car was smoking — literally the day before I was supposed to travel home to see my family for the holidays. I was stressed and honestly worried I might not be able to go. Mike was a godsend. He diagnosed the issue quickly, kept me in the loop the whole time, and gave me a clear written estimate that explained exactly what needed to be done. When he realized additional work was needed (which meant the price would go up), he called me right away, explained everything, and made sure he had my approval before moving forward. I really appreciated that transparency. What stood out most is that he told me he’d do his best to get it done the same day — and he actually did. Because of Mike, I was able to travel as planned. Great experience overall, and I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking for professional service.

I would not recommend this shop. I paid $4,799.03 for a full engine replacement on my 2014 Mercedes-Benz, on June 18, 2025 and they refused to provide any documentation after the job was supposedly done. No engine serial number, no warranty, not even proof that the engine was replaced. When I followed up in writing, on July 8, 2025 Mike the mechanic just kept ignoring the questions— and then completely ignored my request for documentation. This kind of lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable, especially for such a major repair. I’ve had to open complaints with the Maryland Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Proceed with caution. M&D Auto repair count your days! While I appreciate the acknowledgment of my concerns, I want to clarify a few critical issues: The receipt does not include the engine’s serial number, proof of installation, or origin. For a major repair like an engine replacement, this documentation is standard — not "highly unusual" — especially when the engine is used, as your mechanic Mike later confirmed via text. The 6-month warranty is vague and undocumented. A printed “6-month warranty” line on the bottom of an invoice means very little if there’s no accompanying policy, coverage terms, or serial number tied to the replaced part. I requested this information multiple times and was ignored. Telling me only now that someone "will reach out" after no clear communication is not a solution — it’s delay. Engine cost transparency is not the issue. My concern is not about price markup — it’s about lack of proof that the work was performed properly and honestly. I welcome resolution and clear documentation, but I will continue to pursue my complaint with the Maryland Attorney General and other appropriate channels until this matter is resolved in full. A receipt without supporting documentation for a used engine is not sufficient — especially for a $4,799.03 job. Thank you. My car broke down during the Christmas trip to Washington DC from Massachusetts. I went to Pohanka Honda dealership today (Capitol hill, MD) and left the Car 8am to 3pm. Honda Dealership said they couldn't figure out what's the problem and couldn't fix it. I was very disappointed and found other ppl's google review on Google map (1 mile away from Pohanka Dealership). This mechanic at M&D Auto Shop figured out in 10minutes and fixed it in 1 hour. If you are having a trouble at Official dealership or need help, read my review and please come over here. Great service. It’s my first time driving a Mercedes so I have been a little worried about where to service it without having to pay an arm and a leg. Michael was able to get me in and out same day. He was willing to work with me on the price too which helped a lot. I will definitely be coming back for sure!
