Been going here for years. Pretty much an Annapolis institution. Worked across the street at the seafood market for close to a decade and always took care of me. Just had a car accident they towed for and they were super helpful

Went to this spot for a MD inspection, was quite literally thrown a paper a d told to fill it out and to leave the keys to the car because it would take a while. I did just that and waited for the car to be done with the inspection of course it failed and they gave me a paper stating what needed to be fixed. I took my car to a mechanic and fixed all the things that need to be fixed. Took it back to see if it would pass the re inspection but was told the car had failed again mind you the first time I went I was charged almost $150 for the inspection then when I went for the re inspection I was charged an additional $25 who knows for what because I’ve got inspection done at Bay Auto Clinic and they only charged me once for the inspection. This place is a rip off definitely don’t recommend and most definitely will not be taking my business there ever again.

The AC stopped blowing cold air last summer so I brought it to Marc Bowen's to have it repaired. They decided that all I needed was a freon charge and it would work like new (even though I still had 80% freon). The charge did not fix it. They said now they think the problem was AC pressure switch all along, which they will need to replace but need to bleed and refill the freon once again to do so. My question - Why not test the pressure switch before doing the freon the first time?? (It takes 10 seconds with a multimeter) And now they wanted to charge me for two freon refills because they misdiagnosed the issue. I declined, paid for the service already completed and went on my way. Never going back there. BTW - one google search later I found out my pressure switch has what's called a "Shrader valve" (like on a tire) so you don't need to bleed the freon to replace it. I ordered one myself for $20 and replaced it at home. They tried to charge me well over $500 for what was a $20 repair.

Nicest auto service people I have ever met. Even though they were all very busy, they took my car in with a tire leak and fixed it for a more than reasonable price. Will definitely be going back. Thanks!

Front cashiers/ gas station staff great and personable. Repair/ service staff not so much. Trying to get an easy inspection done (check my brake lights and sign off) and was just told "it's gonna be a while". If I need an appt say so. Or if you have an ETA of when I can be seen, cool. But that's a half*** answer if I ever heard one.
