For years my family has used Martin’s Service Station for our Gas, Towing and Service needs. Family owned business. Marty & Caroline always have a smile on their faces and they always say hello. On our special occasions we ask if we can have something posted on their marquee in front of their Station on Rt 6 in La Plata

I took my brand new truck for a state inspection and I got it back with a huge scratch. I brought it to the owners attention and I was blown off. Don’t come here unless you want damage to your car!!

They are very professional and absolutely the best service in the area. Marty, Frank, and the Missis are absolutely wonderful to work with. Its my go to place !

Unfortunately, this quaint little local location won’t be our go to for auto service, or anything. We took our vehicle in to assist with the locking mechanism on the door. The mechanic, I believe Frank, said he could do it - no problem. He tells my husband that he needs a part that he can’t get until after the holiday so my husband looked to see if he could find it and he did but it was an hour away. He called Frank to let him know who said that he would already be gone at that point. My husband responded letting him know to go ahead and order the part then and we’d get it after the holiday. After the holiday, my husband calls to check the progress and he says “you never brought me the part.” K, that wasn’t the conversation that was had. Also worth mentioning, this specific part was not broken when the vehicle was brought in. The function that this part allows was fully operational prior to Martins messing with it. We tell them to put the door back together and took it to an independent, highly qualified mechanic who confirmed that Martins in fact had to have broken that part based on the way it was left and there was also now something else that needed to be replaced as a result of their handling. I regret going with the closest place to our home for convenience. We also paid for whatever it is they did- which at this point as far as I’m concerned I paid $300 for weekend parking, broken parts and a piece of wood holding my window up inside of my door (when the window was fine at drop off). Maybe this was an off-day(s) but I would never trust Frank with my vehicles again and I’d proceed with caution for any other service.
