Good service at first then either for dubious reasons or simple incompetence, seemed to miss obvious problems. My car was 100% serviced at the annapolis shop for 3 years. Never ever did I missed a scheduled service. In June i had a tune up and tires but had to come right back about a month later because the brake were grinding. Somehow during the inspection and while replacing tires, no one noticed that the pads were down to metal. Mind you, I'm disabled and drive very little and almost exclusively highway miles. Fast forward another 3 1/2 months (conveniently after my extended service plan and warranty had expired) while the car is in for an oil change, I am informed that there was a leak from the transmission. I was also told that the leaking fluid was not the color of the transmission fluid that they use. I had to remind them that the car had never been serviced anywhere else. I felt something was off from my last 2 service appointment and knew immediately that I wasn't going to keep the car (transmission problems= very bad). I went over to the sales area and started the process of buying a new Mini. My gut said "do not deal with these folks again". So i left, drove across town and purchased a brand new Honda Accord. I really loved my Mini and may one day purchase another but not from here only because of the service department. The sales team is great.

These guys were able to take me on the spot for an oil change and the mechanic gave great feedback and advise. They have free coffee too.

Going down hill rapidly. My MiniCooper needed routine maintenance in late March (2024), includingan oil change with oil filter change. Additional work was required. OK. But, about 4 weeks later, a warning light came on that the engine was overheated, it was OK to drive, but so so moderately. When I got home, it turned out there was no coolant. Added coolant and then about 4 weeks later, the same thing happened. Brought the car to Mini of Annapolis; the oil filter housing needed to be replaced. Did a quick search and found that if the oil filter is not placed correctly, it can damage the housing requiring replacement (over $2000). I mentioned this; Mini of Annapolis showed me the old part and indicated that this just happens sometimes; a Mini driver group mentioned that as well. Now, 7 days after picking up the car, the engine light is on again. Instead of being even a little empathetic that the car had just been there last week, I get "schedule an appointment; our next one is Friday" (2 days away) and if the car isn't acting strange, it was implied I should keep driving it. Nope; not a good idea. It's staying parked until the appointment. We'll see what happens on Friday.

I actually look forward to getting my MINI Clubman serviced here. Business area is great for remote work while you wait.
