I brought my car in at 0715 for an unscheduled estimate to fix a dented front quarter panel. Bonnie happened to be there early for a 0730 scheduled estimate. She gave me a reasonable estimate so I left the car there. They had the car ready by 1700 that day! They did a great job. I’m very pleased. Bonnie was very nice.

John took great care of my Jeep and was very communicative, which I appreciated. He also advocated for me with my insurance company to get me reimbursed even after he was paid! Great service from him, Bonnie at the desk, and the owner. I hope I don't need a mechanic again anytime soon, but when I do I'll come here, definitely.

A Month-long joke. In a serious of unfortunate events I was unlucky to get in an accident with no cars involved but my own on the drive up to DC. A five-hour drive mind you. My insurance company was quick, decisive, and pleasant in handling the logistics and process of the car- I wish I could say the same for the shop. My insurance partnered with this shop and I got occasional updates as follows: The first week the shop informs me that they need to first do an inspection and get in contact with my insurance to figure out the costs and general logistics. The second week I get an update saying the car will likely be fixed by mid to end the week. Halfway through that, I get an update saying additional damage was found and as such the time frame might be the end of the week to early next week but everything is covered under the insurance. The third week not a single update. The fourth week on Wednesday I call asking for an update. The woman at the shop says she'll get back to me. Unable to pick up the call, she leaves a voicemail saying that the car should be ready by Friday. I don't call back as she makes it clear there isn't much else to be done with the car. Friday arrives, I fly to DC and I call the shop asking when I can pick up the car. She informs me that the shop forgot to do a wheel alignment and to order an engine cover and fix it on the car. You have a WHOLE MONTH, people. She informs me, to her annoyance that there isn't much to be done as the 4th of July meant the shop was closed and I would have to check in on Monday. The website and voicemail of the shop say it's open at 8 am. The woman who I have been dealing with didn't even arrive till 9. And upon getting an update in person, to her apparent inconvenience, informs me that she'll give me an update in an hour or two on both the alignment and engine cover. Three hours pass and I call and again and tone seems to indicate my need for a car after a month is such a burden for her. She tells me I'm looking till much later in the afternoon. It wasn't till 4 pm on a Monday, over a month after its been in the shop, that she expresses any sort of sympathy for my situation or gives me any sort of reason why the delay had occurred. The reasoning behind the apparent incompetence isn't even worth detailing in this already long review. What a terrible experience and what a joke of a situation. If you want your car fixed by the time the sun blows and customer service that makes McDonald's look like Chick-fil-a this is your shop.

Great auto body shop with terrific work and the best service. Car was like new after bodywork was complete. Bonnie was the best.

A number of years ago I had to have the roof of my car replaced due to a large tree limb falling on it. I chose this shop since it was one of my insurance co's. approved area body shops. The repair took many months to complete because each time I was told it was finished, I drove way out to Rockville to pick it up and discovered over and over glaring, new damage caused by the shop, i.e., scratches on the passenger door that were never there before and had to be repaired; sparks from the metal soldering of the roof clearly flew into and pockmarked all passenger-side windows which then had to be replaced; the inside plastic border surrounding the small glass window before the trunk had been scraped to shreds because the shop apparently had trouble inserting the replacement window...and they thought it was just fine to return my car to me that way...and then all of that had to be replaced, etc., and these were only a few of the many problems I experienced with this shop. Add insult to injury, the owner at that time copped a nasty attitude with me when I pointed out each new problem. Ultimately, I got my car back and the repairs were sufficient, however, Newtown was at that time unprofessional, unpleasant, and incompetent -- and one of the reasons my insurer no longer includes them on its list of authorized body shops.
