I found OG Automotive through a local GXOR group for my high-mileage GX470. The owner was quick to offer an estimate based on what I asked for, which beat the local mechanics by a significant amount. His and his team’s knowledge and professionalism were consistent throughout, and they even got a couple of minor things fixed at no cost. For those who were worried about the shop being out of the area like myself, it’s walking distance from the Shady Grove metro station. I highly recommend OG Automotive to anyone who’s looking for an honest and reliable mechanic shop.

So happy that this shop was recommended to me. I do most small work myself, and am skeptical of having someone else work on my vehicles. I was pleased to find that the technicians at OG Auto share a passion for vehicles like I do! You won’t find this at most shops nowadays. The staff heard me out and shared concern over all of the issues- and potential issues I was having. Right away I could tell they were very experienced in their work, and fair with their prices! As long as I live around the area, this will be my go to shop. 10/10 recommend!

I don’t leave many reviews, but I need to give credit where credit is due I called OG Automotive asking for a same-day state inspection, and despite them being busy, they were able to accommodate me for the following day for my state inspection. Upon arrival, I talked to the friendly receptionist and the inspection was done

Oui is an awesome mechanic. He is the only person I trust with my Porsche 928. It’s not an easy car to work with. He replaced my transmission, rebuilt my torque tube with super bearings, rebuilt my steering rack, rebuilt all the fuel injectors and vacuum hoses, fuel lines and power steering lines. The car drives like magic now and puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. When I came to pick up the car - he had done many minor things that he didn’t really charge for. He had sand blasted all my intake lines and gotten them shiny, he has cleaned a lot of the engines area and painted some of the engine parts that had faded like the cross bar. I now bring all my cars here. Reasonable and hard working people. I would recommend them 100%

I brought my car in for a state inspection and was genuinely impressed with the experience from start to finish. The team — from the owner and manager to the mechanic — was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional. They clearly care about what they do and it shows in both the quality of their work and the way they treat their customers. The service was completed in half the time I was originally quoted, and the price was very reasonable. They even took the time to explain everything they were doing, which I really appreciated. As a bonus, they noticed a minor issue — a hanging wire — and fixed it without me even having to ask. It’s rare to find an auto shop that combines expertise, efficiency, and genuine care for their customers, but this place checks all the boxes. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
