As a woman in my mid-twenties, taking my car in for service used to feel intimidating. My dad is a mechanic and handled my car for years, but after moving out of state, I had to find someone local I could trust. I chose Pleasant Hill Service Center based on a quick Google search and hoped for the best — and I’m so glad I did. I’ve been going there for about two years now and have consistently been impressed with their level of service, attention to detail, and overall care. Serge is especially communicative and thorough. Whenever he recommends additional work, he takes the time to explain why it’s needed and the appropriate timing, and I never feel pressured into unnecessary services. Their pricing has also always felt very fair, which makes the entire experience that much more reassuring. It’s such a relief to have found a shop I trust - highly recommend!

If you're reading reviews trying to find an honest and skilled mechanic, you can stop scrolling. SERGE IS YOUR GUY. This man is professional yet also personable, patient and kind. He goes out of his way to accommodate you, and makes difficult car situations so much less stressful. I called around 9am, asking if he could squeeze in a state inspection for a car we were coming into town to test-drive. We were coming from Frederick and wanted to have the car inspected and looked over before purchasing. Not only did he squeeze us in, he was able to do so earlier than anticipated. Serge was friendly and agreed to look over the car in general and let us know if he would recommend for purchase, apart from the inspection. He went above and beyond by telling us several things that we would never have known if we had not brought it to him, both good and bad. He did not charge us extra for this personal assessment and even advised us how much to offer on the car we wanted to purchase. Furthermore, this man is PATIENT. I called him back no fewer than 5 times within the hour to ask questions re: tag and title, state inspection report and other things and he remained kind and helpful. Thank you, Serge, for treating us like family and helping us to make a big decision. We are so thankful to have found your shop!

Pleasant hill are the only shop who will touch at my family or work vehicles. I have referred friends, family, and clients to them and have always gotten wonderful feedback. Highly recommended for their fast service, fair prices, and great customer service. Not just and oil change either! I had tires done most recently, but they have done prepurchase inspections, state inspections, and major repairs.

Serge is the best mechanic I have been to: he is down to earth, helpful, explains things to non-car people like me, his prices are fair, and my car is always returned quickly. He doesn't upsell unnecessary parts or repairs, so I trust him to do what he says needs to be done. I will continue going to him for all my car's needs.
