Don’t ever use this shop. Dropped off a Mitsubishi drive shaft to have new universal joints installed and they told me it had to have new ends welded on also. Once a week I called to check status to see when it would be finished and every week I was told excuse after excuse and I kept waiting and waiting……..6 weeks later they finally tell me sorry were to busy and can’t get to it while my car has been broke down at home this whole time. Don’t ever use this shop , especially dealing with Sam behind the counter. Do your research and find another shop if you have a driveshaft issue.

Highly specialized service center. Dropped of Truck 7:AM ready by 1pm. Heavy suspension upgrades and restoration, no problem. Small but convenient waiting area. They handle all DC Fire and EMS equipment and came highly recommended. Get a fixed quote up front, a little price creep is to be expected. Also, fair warning-3.5% service charge when paying with credit card. Plan ahead.

I recently took my 2018 Freightliner Cascadia to R & S Auto & Truck Spring works for a leaf spring replacement. While the noise issue was initially resolved, my overall experience with their service has been extremely disappointing. Firstly, when I received my truck back, it was dirty. I overlooked this because the immediate issue seemed resolved. However, I soon realized the truck was pulling to the left badly, necessitating a wheel alignment. I returned the truck on May 10th and picked it up on May 11th, which turned out to be a complete disaster. Upon arrival, I noticed my mudflap was damaged. When I brought this to their attention, they asked me to bring the truck to the front so they could inspect it. Out of frustration, I accidentally locked the keys in the truck. They were helpful in lending me the tools I needed to get in, but to my surprise, the truck wouldn't start—an issue I had never experienced before. To add to that, my truck was even filthier on the inside and outside than the first time. Although I was eventually provided with the necessary tools to unlock the doors, the overall lack of professionalism and care was evident. Even though the boss did offer to let me get the part and bring them the receipt, I don't see myself taking my truck back there. If I hadn't taken pictures when I dropped it off, the situation would have been different, as suggested by the conversation I had with the boss after bringing these issues to his attention. Given these issues—damage to my truck, cleanliness, a new starting problem, and now pulling to the right (albeit not as badly as it was to the left)—I am highly dissatisfied with the service at R & S Auto & Truck Spring works. I expected a higher level of professionalism and customer service, and unfortunately, this experience fell far short.

I would sell my semi trailer as advertisement for this place. Drive shaft went out in the middle of the road, full on fell out when the u joint snapped. Took it here and they had the broken bolts out and rethreaded, heated, and rebalanced with the new u joint installed in 30 minutes. Amazing fair price like no other as well. If I ever need work done to my semi I’m taking it here. And I’m from Texas!!
