Rob charged me an excessive amount for really low quality work. I brought a truck in to have it restored, work that Rob chose to accept. After doing an extremely poor job communicating and keeping the truck for years, Rob finally let me know it was done, then told me it shut down while he had it out on a road test. Rob charged me to troubleshoot the truck shutting off on a road test without approval and charged me a for the tow bill. Even after his "troubleshooting" and charging me for a part I didn't approve I'm still having the issue of it not running. Every ground in the engine bay I've inspected so far has been attached to paint, not clean metal. I've also found corrosion on terminals and damage to wiring. I will have to clean the grounds and finish my diag on the truck before I'm able to bring it in for warranty work for other issues his shop left. I've been very disappointed to find this considering he charged me for labor to "PREP ALL GROUNDS," "INSTALL CORE SUPPORT, START INSTALLING WIRING HARNESS TO ENGINE, AND FIREWALL," and "RUN WIRING ALONG CORE SUPPORT." This is not a shop I would recommend to anyone, in addition to the quality of work being extremely disappointing, Rob also seems very sexist and disrespectful towards me, especially after I told him I'm a year and a half into my own career as a diesel mechanic. When I said he had my truck for years, that's literal. If I'd know I'd be getting a job in this industry I never would have taken him my truck to begin with. As you can see in the photos, his shop left one of my battery cables broken. That specific cable had been replaced shortly before I dropped the truck off at his shop. He left lights not working, and exposed copper wire on the outside of the truck that will corrode and cause issues in the future because there is no heat shrink to protect the wire. He charged me to clean behind the dash which is still quite dusty, that photo was taken within a week of picking the truck up from his shop. He also left the park brake cable bracket hanging in my frame rail, and fixing the park brake was specified on the list of issued I asked him to fix. ETA: Rob- the photo of the door is to show the patchy duct tape instead of proper weather seal. Your shop left one of the headlight bulbs hanging, not correctly locked in to the housing. I noticed that very shortly after picking the truck up from your shop because the bulb got hot and started melting the headlight assembly. A reminder about the battery cable, you charged me for time that you took to check power and ground for the issue with the truck shutting down when you took it on a road test. You should have seen that it was broken then. As far as my "insisting" on continuing with the project after pulling the truck bed, at that point you had already charged me thousands for parts and a deposit on the work. You did not give me the option of a refund for the new, uninstalled parts nor did you make it clear that your shop was unable to take on the work. Also a reminder that I took on the work of picking up and painting a frame that you found and deemed acceptable.

Recently completed a complex set of repairs w Rob and his team. My 12 Superduty had multiple issues at the same time. Rob knows these Powerstrokes. He doesn’t just start replacing parts til the computer tells him it’s fixed. They diagnose and fix problems. Rob is always honest, fair and upfront. I am trying to get as far as I can on this truck. And Rob and his team will get me there. Thanks DD

Excellent diesel repair service at Rob’s Truck & Auto Repair in Westminster, MD. They replaced the glow plugs on my diesel truck quickly and at a fair price. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced with diesel engine diagnostics and repair. My truck now starts smoothly and runs perfectly. I'm living in Westminister, MD for about 5 years and Rob's Auto Repair shop is definitely a 5+ auto repair shop. You can feel comfortable and assured that your vehicle is being taken care of with experienced and courteous staff. The office and laboratory is kept very clean. They have a very small area to seat down and relax while waiting 😉. As you walk into the front door, there will be a counter. Michelle and/or Rob will welcome you and give you the time to explain the issue(s) with your car. They will give you honest and expertise answers/solutions for the necessary repairs. If you live in Westminister, Carroll County area, this is the place to bring your vehicle. MJM
