The team at Rotor Piston Motorsportz are an outstanding group of hard working and knowledgeable gentlemen… they rebuilt my 1993 RX7, nearly doubling its WHP and give it a much smoother ride. The project took longer than expected due to the pandemic but the end result is a beautiful and fast car… one which I had purchased when Mazda first created the 3rd gen RX in 1992. Compliments to Mike and his team!

Mike did an amazing job bringing my dad’s car back to life. This 1993 RX7 was my dad’s pride and joy. However, due to illness, my dad stopped driving it in 2017 and it sat idle for 6+ years. There was a lot that needed to be fixed, including some stuff that wasn’t visible at first. Start to finish the process of rebuilding the motor and all the other things took several months. With these rotary engine cars you need someone with a lot of experience who knows what they’re doing. It does take patience - this car is technically an antique! But it’s running great and in a few weeks it will be for sale. I hope someone will get just as much joy from driving it as my dad did! Thanks, Mike!

Dropped my car off there to get an engine rebuild plus a few upgrades, paid a 12k+ deposit only to have my engine, transmission, drive shaft, steering wheel, and exhaust stolen. I got back a shell even the paint was ruined.

I met Mike 2 years ago after my son who was enlisted in the U.S. Navy fell while stationed on the USS Fitzgearld over in the Sea of Japan. Being the Rep of his estate, the Navy sent me everything to include his 1992 FD Mazda RX7. In Feb 2019 i had the RX7 towed to RPM for a total rebuild and I have to say never did i expect this as the end results! Mike when we started this journey 2 years ago, we sat and talked about our past navy lives, and you understood what the build of this car was about. Not only is it fire on the exterior but now under the hood as well. 550 wheel Xavier is looking down and smiling!

My initial post about this shop was quite positive but unfortunately there have been some recent rather troubling developments. My car was in the shop for just about two years and during that time I paid all the invoices upon request and on time. The car was delivered to me incomplete with the promise of completion and delivery of parts and wheels and tires that were paid for in full. Inexplicably, Mike began putting off delivery of the parts and services and then ceased all communication totally. The shop now owes me a significant debt and attempts to get Mike to deliver and install the parts have failed and he has offered no explanation or refund. Proceed with caution!
