My first time visiting Selvin's. He was welcoming and friendly. He was transparent with his prices and his work was great. It was done the same day, an hour before he closed. He gave me the old part and explained why it failed. I will definitely come back.

I was traveling from out of town and experienced brake failure. I was towed to a different mechanic first who diagnosed a long list of issues (my car is 2003...it has issues) none of which addressed the brakes failure. My mechanic from home spoke to that mechanic, didn't like what he was hearing, and told me to get a second opinion. I searched up reviews of the bad place and one that reported a similar experience to me said someone nearby was amazing...Selvin was .5 miles away and had excellent reviews. I called him and he said he would take a look, no problem. I had my car towed to him--no appt--and within the hour he had diagnosed the brake line leak and shared video. He was fast, responsive, communicative with texts. I asked him to take a look at anything else that could cause a safety issue for my ride home. I asked him to review the long list of issues the other place told me. He did, told me what he found, told me why. Several of the issues from the other place he said were NOT issues and what he did find was significantly less expensive than the other place. He also checked all fluids and reassured me I was safe. As a woman traveling alone, it was such a different experience from the first place which was condescending and was trying to take advantage of me. Selvin shook my hand and wished me safe travels. My drive home went well and I had no issues. I would 100% recommend Selvin Auto Repair and I feel so lucky to have found him.
