I can honestly say this is the BEST mechanic I’ve ever dealt with. From start to finish, the experience was professional, honest, and stress-free. They took the time to explain exactly what was wrong with my car, showed me the issue, and walked me through my options without trying to upsell me on things I didn’t need. The pricing was fair, transparent, and exactly what they quoted — no surprise charges, no games. The work was done quickly, and my car runs better than it has in a long time. You can tell they actually care about their customers and take pride in their work. It’s hard to find a mechanic you can truly trust, but I finally found one. If you want honesty, quality work, and real customer service, this is the place to go. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else.

I’m deeply disappointed with my experience at this shop. I trusted the owner Fred, and even referred customers because I believed in his honesty and work. Unfortunately, after service, I discovered that the original Goodyear tires and wheel lock from my older vehicle were no longer the same. This hurts even more because it’s an older car — finding and keeping original parts takes sacrifice and care. I truly hoped for integrity and respect as a customer, but this experience has left me heartbroken and without trust in this business. The MVA inspection is not even done there. SCAMMER!

Fred has been the main mechanic for our vehicles over the years. He has maintained a Chrysler for over 16 years, a Dodge for 12 years, and a Chevy for 5 years. Two of which we still use. Most people look to Thunderbird because it is a cheaper option outside of the dealership. He is no magician but comes up with honest solutions. Once, I took my vehicle that wouldn't start. He advised it was the battery. He directed me to a battery shop in Rockville, which was a cheaper-faster solution.

Don’t go to guy name( Fred) @Tunderbird mechanic shop ..his a scammer may hold your car as hostage in yard and telling you his in progress to get it fixed his* lies* I left the car to him for 2&1/2 months calling him many time his calming was busy. I took pictures of my car outside sitting never move inside the shop grass grew up around tires and the day I surprised him walked in ,he said car is fix trying to charge me I show him the evidence and in such embarrassing situation he couldn’t claims or charging me after he found out I have been tracking car and he lied 🤥 so I took my car( he took the car inside over night open the hood stage the car like pretending to be fixed .such a disgusting lie to scam people plus he took part from old car in his yard to get your car running but never fix anything on time or accurate.. Such disgusting behavior and service I’m not sure how many people have been affected by him but Dont go there specially if your are a woman 👎

Fred is a very friendly and knowledgeable person, when it comes to cars. He is extremely busy person. If you are in a rush, this may not be the place for you. However, my car needed some work, the dealer gave an estimate of $2800 But Fred did all the work for $ 1100.- very reasonable pricing. I am happy with his work. I have referred couple of my friend and they are satisfied too. He is a very honest person.
