I had over 40 oak logs to sell so I called these guys. Talked a good game on the phone, so I said come get them. They got them next day. So I called the following day to see how I made out..no answer just text…they said still scaling, ok fine. Next day I call again no answer but text saying check has been mailed…no measurements, invoice, or receipt just what they think they were worth. They didn’t realize I scaled them before sending them off and their measurements were half of actual. They summed it up to “old logs” and I’m lucky they gave me what I got.

Customer Service is a lost art form these days. Not a concept Mr. Tipton seems to understand. I told him on Tuesday 12 DEC when we met, I needed 40 boards by the end of the week because Saturday was going to be a nice day to work outside fixing fence. I paid that night. I get home late Friday night, no boards. I send him a Facebook message about it (late that night). I get “sorry been very busy Ill have them to you by the end of the weekend”. What time is end of the weekend? Mr. Tipton knew I had work to do, its cold out. Saturday the 16th was a perfect day to fix fence. He has a farm also, so I thought he understood. Saturday, I go to the mill, no one is around, I stop by his house next to the mill, no one around. I try to call to get a better estimate when he’s going to deliver. He then sends me another Facebook message saying he never said he would get the board to me on Friday, but it was by the end of the weekend. I called him on his bold face lie. By the way he replied to me Friday night he understood I needed them by the end of the week. He ended up just refunding my money. Mr. Tipton lied to me and screwed me three times on this. First, not delivering on Friday. Second, then telling me end of the weekend. Third, refunding my money forcing me to go buy boards someplace else. What a way to treat a fellow local & veteran tying to care for the family farm. I am glad your Tipton’s Logging Company is doing well that you don’t need the little business someone like me buying 40 boards brings. I probably would have bought more and posts later. Continue to do business like this and you’re going to be out of business. I was able to get some boards on Sunday form a fellow horseman and veteran, he also told me he gets a lot of business from you. He had them there first thing Sunday morning. That’s service, that’s taking care of a new customer and making a customer for life.
