Do not go here for car care. They are dishonest and try to scam people out of many thousands of dollars. I would strongly suggest getting a 2nd opinion on any services Toyota Dealership of Bowie suggests getting. I had two lights come on - low oil pressure and low engine pressure - and took it into the dealership immediately. I asked them to check the oil, oil filter, and look for an oil leak since I took it in just 5 months ago for an inspection. When I got a call back about what they found, they said I needed an engine rebuild for 6K because the oil wasn’t getting into the engine. In a video, the mechanic gave a bizarrely vague reason about how no oil was getting into the engine and it was now damaged. He also suggested $2K more repairs were needed due to safety concerns. I was stunned. I was like, “So the oil level was okay? There are no leaks anywhere? I don’t need a few filter?” My “advisor” assured me it was all okay. I refused any service. That’s when my advisor asked me if I wanted to trade it in. I was like, “Uh, no.” I took it for a 2nd opinion at a local auto repair shop since I used to take my car there for years. When I went back to the office after WFH (COVID years), I started taking my car to the dealership because they’re open Saturdays which was convenient. Guess what? There was NO oil in the car. Not a drop. And the oil filter needed replacing. It cost $85 to get the oil and change the filter. I took this car to the dealership for two !$&@ years and the oil and filter were checked green on the checklist every single time, including this one. I’m pretty sure they never once checked either. I’m not a paranoid person, but I really started to wonder if they were manufacturing a crisis. Just wanted to share this experience because I’m fuming. I’m wondering how long I was being ripped off there for “repairs” I paid for that maybe didn’t even exist. Looking at old bills, I’ve paid thousands of dollars for services. Toyota quote: $8,000 vs local repair shop: $85

I have taken my vehicles here almost exclusively since we've moved here. The last few times Ive been here, we have received really crappy service. I mentioned an issue with my trunk in early 2025 and was told "dont press too many buttons, it works fine." It didnt work fine and progressively got worse. 2 days ago, I dropped off my car for an oil change and to have it checked again. Turns out I need a new door. It makes me fairly certain it wasnt actually investigated the first time. Anyway, the service advisor never ordered the part. He wrote I declined the service on the paperwork even though he told me he was filing the claim for it. Ive tried contacting Devin a couple times and cant get ahold of him. It took me calling the service center in Annapolis to figure this all out. They told me not only nothing was filed and but that it was strange there was no notes of the issue found nor supplied reccomendatiins. Every oil change ends up being an all day affair. When we picked up the vehicle, no one could explain the breakdown of charges (couldnt explain what they entailed clearly), even the woman who is responsible for taking payments. This place is definitely sketchy. Looks like I will be taking my cars to Annapolis from now on. I already have an appointment and they were incredibly friendly.

I came in today for a regular maintenance oil change and was very happy with the service representative that worked with me today. Mr. Antonio Funderburk was professional and displayed excellent customer service. During my entire visit today, he frequently kept me updated on the progress of my vehicle and ensured me that if there was anything of a concern he would let me know immediately. I gave gone to other Toyota dealerships and was not impressed with the customer service that I received. So a representative knowing the importance of providing great customer service is a rarity today and I truly appreciative to Mr. Funderburk for making it a great service experience. I know that you can only give a 5star rating, I think he deserves a 10! Ms. T. Outlaw

Bowie Toyota Service is absolutely horrible. Do not take your vehicle there. We’ve taken our Highlander there for multiple recalls. For the first recall, we ordered our 2nd key fob with the parts department over a week ahead of time and also requested as oil change. At pick up they claimed there was no 2nd key fob ordered yet I walked over to the parts department with them and Parts physically showed me the key fob I ordered. They also did not perform an oil change as I asked. For the second recall (air bag deployment), they claimed they finished my car and handed me my keys back, yet after I left I saw the seal and handle to one door was not installed, tools were left in my vehicle, they haphazardly left my child’s car seat in pieces in the trunk, and a broken piece of plastic was left in my front seat. I had to bring my vehicle back for each service to get it rectified. However, the “maintenance required” warning is still lit up on my dashboard! I even had to go to a different company to get my oil change. I do not recommend this business whatsoever
