Only Review you need to read Story time: I told myself I wanted to get my Miata cleaned up for spring. Unfortunately, someone hit my bumper in a parking lot, so I decided to fully commit and take care of a few other things that had been bothering me. I’m not sure if everyone is aware of how many body shops operate now, but like a lot of industries, large corporations have been buying up small mom-and-pop shops and converting them into chains like Caliber Collision. Because of that, I wanted to shop around before committing. I visited four different body shops before ending up here, and I actually found them through a recommendation from another shop. Most of the places I went to turned me away because they only wanted to deal with insurance work. At a few of them, they wouldn’t even come out from behind the desk to look at the car, which was pretty disappointing service. Eventually, I was referred to Walter Jay’s. The manager, Sam, was extremely friendly and professional from the start. He walked me through two different options: fixing the specific trouble spots on the car that had been bothering me, or doing a complete respray. I decided to go with repairing the sections that drove me nuts. The work included the right front fender, right headlight cover, front bumper (which needed some minor repairs), paint on the GV lip, Raydot mirrors, the rear bumper, and the finish panel. Since my car still has its original 35-year-old paint, color matching was definitely a concern. The photos I attached are of the car right now, and the rest of the car hasn’t even been buffed or polished yet. The new paint came out great—there’s virtually no orange peel, and the match looks excellent. Overall, I highly recommend this shop. Sam was great to work with and even sent me updates throughout the process via email, which I really appreciated. I would also want you to note the negative reviews on this business are over five years old and it doesn’t reflect the current business and staff appropriately.

WELCOME HOME Miata. …. I recently took over the care of one of our families most prized possession, a 2000 fun to drive Maita. She had several minor scratches and needed a new trunk lid. I went to 2 local shops, near Walter Jays, and one of them could not be troubled with “finding parts for such an old car.” Sam, at Walter Jays, jumped on the phone found the needed parts and had them delivered. Water Jay’s did such a great job I had them touch up the front.. Awesome service and great work. The Miata is back in garage and waiting for Spring weather. Thanks Sam

Lois is absolutely amazing, she made this unfortunate process so smooth. She was professional, kind, and informative she never made us feel like she was pressuring us to have services done. Her willingness to be so helpful even with how we should handle the insurance company made us feel so comfortable and relaxed in an already stressful situation. Henry is also very kind, professional and accommodating. We highly recommend Walter Jay’s and we’d trust them with any future needed services. 10 stars ⭐️

Would recommend this place to anyone needing work done!! Super friendly staff, attentive and the work looks excellent! I had my rear bumper, and lift gate replaced. Looks like brand new. The color match looks great. Hopefully I won’t need to come back here any time soon but if I have another fender bender definitely coming back here.

One word. PHENOMENAL. PROFESSIONAL. Wait that was 2... I moved from out of state and had an anonymous driver side swipe my car taking off the mirror and part of my hubcap. The sides of my car had a dent & visible scratch and with getting situated it was all too much. I looked around for places to get a replacement mirror assembly and decided to go with Walter Jays because it was within my area. I couldn't be more happier. First, Angel, the lady who answers the phone was very communicative and emailed me all the information I needed. I dropped off my car this morning and was told they'd do all they can to have it ready. Today was actually my first day at my new job so I needed my vehicle. Not only did they fix my mirror to perfect condition but he helped me buff out my scratches and drain rain water that accumulated (Left it there to eventually drain but the sloshes were distracting). They went above and beyond!!!. I'm was so happy with the work. Highly recommend their business to anyone looking for bodywork/auto service and will certainly be coming back again. Thank you!
