Nothing but positive things to say about Gary and his team. These guys treated me fairly and didn’t try to upsell me on anything else I didn’t need. I’ve been in to have work done 3 times over the past few months and each time it went well. All work was done when promised and at the original estimate. They quick to get you in, quick to diagnose and quick to get you out. After my first experience I knew these guys were cool. The first time I took it in was right after I arrived in Md. I was hearing a loud clanking noise underneath and wasn’t sure what it was. Gary told me bring it in next morning and they would check it out. I did and the mechanic looked it over. He tightened up something that was loose and said you good to go. Gary didn’t even charge me. Who does that anymore? This issue cost them a little time and money but they helped me out in a pinch and I appreciated it. Needless to say I had no reserves about bringing it back to them for my other two issues. I just don’t let anyone work on my old Lexus but they earned my trust. They are my first go to now.

I had such a great experience with Welch Automotive! Dropping off my car before work took less than 10 minutes, which was super convenient. I let them know I’d be out of town for about a week while I was visiting home, and they had no problem keeping it there for me. While I was away, they kept me updated and were great about communication. When I got back and couldn’t pick it up myself, they even allowed someone else to grab the car and let me pay over the phone. They fixed a frozen caliper (and something else brake-related I can’t quite remember) on my 2013 Subaru cross-trek, and the price was very fair for the work done. Super friendly, efficient, and accommodating—I highly recommend them!

Originally I wasn't going to review despite my bad experience, but after what my new mechanic revealed to me I knew I had to say something. My neighbor recommended me to Welch when my one of my cyclinders was misfiring(I'm a new driver but trying to learn as much as I can about car maintenance). I went for a quote for new spark plugs & coil pack and without looking at it said between $200-$300. When Gary calls me to let me know the price, he says all these things needed to be fixed and it would be over $1200. I said no I'll just come get my car after work. Well I guess he still wanted to make some money so he calls back and says he'll at least replace my pigtails for $375 and then calls again to say for $435 he'd "fix the problem" by replacing the sparks with 2 new and 1 used. I said no again and just let him replace the pigtails. Come to find out, my mechanic at 311 Garage in Middle River that whoever worked on my car broke my connectors & tried to fix them by gluing them down (they were so nice to not charge me extra to scrape all that glue out). To this day, I still don't understand why Gary really said "I'm trying to look out for you because it's hard for young people," all while wasting my time and money for a problem that still wasn't fixed and a little worse off with the glue. This was just my experience with Welch and I personally would not recommend them to anyone, instead I encourage others to check out 311 Garage Inc., Mr. Mike and his guys do amazing work! 👏🏿👏🏿

I've never had any complaints with Gary and his team . They are honest, have great prices, they don't try to Nickel and dime you and they are friendly! I send everyone I know there. They take care of me, I'll take care of them! Thanks so much guys! 🙏
