John is very thorough, professional, honest, and straight forward. We bring our Discovery in for all required Land Rover maintenance as scheduled by the manufacturer. In the past we used our local Land Rover dealerships since the vehicle was under full warranty. This time we brought my 2018 Land Rover Discovery in for it’s 4 year/ 45K+ mile service. John discovered numerous areas where the local Land Rover dealerships either did not do the require maintenance or did short cuts using non-OEM parts. He provided video and pictures of the issues as he found them. In one case the rear differential case oil plug was about to fall out and numerous pieces of metal were discovered in the oil indicating the fluid had never been replaced, even though Land Rover stated it had at least three times before (the latest about 3 months before during a rear differential replacement). A month later I brought the vehicle back to him for a complete front and rear brake replacement which were due. During this visit he discovered the dealership did not use OEM rotors which were replaced during a recall repair even though the dealer stated they were Land Rover rotors shipped from the UK. Every service and repair was professionally completed in a timely manner at a fair price. John has earned my repeat business and I highly recommend him and his team.

Long Review: I took my 2006 Range Rover Sport to have the AC/Heat checked out by John since it was not working at all. I was planning on taking the truck to the beach with my 2 dogs and wanted to see if he could fix my Air conditioner. John replaced the blen doors and put in a new fan. I paid $2,450, because (he did remove $450, because he said it really should of been 3k, but he underqouted me, I offered to pay him the difference, he said we could resolve when I get a new battery). the dash board to be removed. While at the shop, John stated the air conditioner was working great. Which was not the case, the ac did not cool at all. I reached out to John that Monday, since I picked up the truck on a Friday. John advised that I bring the truck in. I went to the shop twice in 2 weeks and John was not there, he also would not answer my phone calls. I Finally I was able to reach him at the shop, John was suprised that I showed up because it had been about 2 weeks. Anyhow, I informed John that the heat nor the ac was working. John advised me that he did not do a ac maintenance check on the truck. Seriously, that's why I bought it there. John checked it over again and said I needed freon and a compressor which would cost $2,500k for the compressor. I ended taking my truck to another shop and did not need a compressor, all it needed was freon!! Ladies please be careful when dealing with mechanics, not all, but some will take advantage, always, always get a second or third qoute. I now have Ac, but not heat. I also would like to add that my truck reeked of garlic for an entire month!

I discovered this business by accident. I was pulling into another business on Backlick Road and saw John's Land Rover Discovery with Zebra stripes and his sign for Eurosport. John replaced my brakes, rotors and front control arms. My 2013 LR4 now drives and rides better than new. John is a master mechanic and knows his foreign cars. I would have John check out your Land Rover before ever going to a dealer for service.

John Kinter is the CONSUMMATE professional! I've been a client for close to 10 years, and he's never failed to impress. Called him at 0830 after "failing" a parking brake check while undergoing a State safety inspection. John told me where to find it in my manual and to take the car back and have them re-check it using the manual, and guess what, it passed! Thanks for everything, John! U R the MAN!
