Our church and school have been relying on Phil at Fleet Authority for over 5 years to solve the unsolvable as well as to handle everything automotive in our small 'fleet'. When our 2006 Ford 450 diesel activity bus refused any attempt to stop its intermittent starting problem, we were stuck and frustrated with an inoperable bus. However, Phil got to the root of the problem in the engine's wiring harness and gave us back a working bus we could depend on. That success story along with many others over the years gives me great incentive to highly recommend this shop above others for all automotive and bus-related service needs. The quality of service, the fairness of cost, and the integrity of their business makes this family-owned business stand out in Northern Virginia. I am so glad we found them!

I took our company box truck to Fleet Authority after seeing such great reviews. I previously utilized a dealership's commercial truck repair department but it just did not "feel" right even after the work was done. Phil reminds me of the old fashioned mechanics who could listen to an engine and tell you what's wrong with it. Anyway, they had it done on time and within estimate. Engine issues, rodent damage, and a roll up door installation. I'd been looking for a door installer for nearly a year and Phil's fees beat the 2/3 companies I spoke with already.

Our food truck had a lot of work that needed to be done so that we could pass the Maryland State inspection. We had just taken the truck through inspection and failed for a myriad of things that related to suspension, head lights, brakes, seat belt, you name it we failed it. After driving around in VA, where our business is located, searching for a shop that could work on step vans, I finally discovered that there was a shop that specializes on step vans, buses, etc. That shop was Fleet Authority. We met Philip, the owner of Fleet Authority, and presented him with our long list of repairs that needed to get done so that we would be able to pass the inspection. Philip looked at the list and gave us his consultation of what it would take to get the truck to pass inspection. His knowledge of workhorses was very apparent and he left no doubt in my mind that he could get the job done and get us through the inspection. Also in the initial consultation, Philip gave us the best possible option for getting each repair done with the lowest cost to our company possible which I really appreciated. Philip worked tiressly on our step van/workhorse providing weekly updates that included video to show progress of the work. He educated me as he was getting the repairs done. Along the way while repairing our truck and while getting our updates, my wife Lynnette and I have built a strong rapport with Fleet Authority (Philip and his lovely wife Annette) and we are so happy to have found a mechanic who is not only knowledgeable but who is also caring about his customers. I am happy to say that Fleet Authority has a customer for life as I will be bringing more of our company vehicles to Fleet. Phillip and his team at Fleet Authority are extremely professional and knowledgeable in their work. I am a food truck owner, and my truck is my business so when it broke down I took it here for diagnostics and repairs. I actually made an appointment to bring it in later that week, but Phillip was very accommodating and gave me a status update a couple of days before the truck was actually due in. I went with almost all his suggestions in terms of repairs and got my truck back in no time! One little issue on my part was that I didn't listen to Phillip and a couple of weeks later I was back in the shop correcting what he had pointed out to me earlier. Nonetheless he had already assessed the issues and moved right along with the repairs and now my truck is running like new and I could not be more thankful. I also must include that Anette who is the receptionist there is very sweet. Always a pleasure to talk to over the phone as well as in person. If you're looking for diesel repairs in this area I would highly recommend!

I have been taking my car to Phil for a few years now for all my big repairs. He is always honest with me and the charge is very fair. Last time I took my car in he originally thought I might need a part that the car ended up not needing, and he did not charge me for ordering it. Definitely trust Phil with all my big repairs!
