Have had nothing but good experiences bringing my older Mazda sedan here. They have always been up front with me and walk me through the different options I have. I have confidence in the quality of work. Their responsiveness is excellent as well.

I recently became the new owner of a 1967 Volkswagen Beetle, and I’m incredibly grateful to have found Foreign Car Service right here in Old Town. My experience with them so far has been nothing short of excellent. They’ve been professional, thorough, and extremely communicative at every step. I especially appreciate how transparent they are about estimates and what work is actually needed—they make everything clear without any pressure or upselling. As someone new to owning a classic car, that kind of honesty and guidance means a lot. The team clearly knows their stuff, and I already feel confident that I’ll be trusting them with my Beetle for years to come. It’s great having such a reliable shop just down the street. Highly recommend!

PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY! I’m new to Virginia and had a terrible experience at this car repair shop. A local recommended them because they work on foreign cars. I brought my Mercedes C-300 for a regular B service maintenance since my mechanic was unavailable. My car was making loud noises while running, and my AC had stopped working. I thought they could help with at least telling me the issue since they specialize in foreign cars. I waited from opening to about 1 p.m. and was given a $2,500 estimate for replacing my auxiliary fan and AC compressor. I went in without an engine light on and left with it on. They said the engine light was due to the fan. I paid $640 with my mechanic today for a new AC compressor SENSOR. They wanted $1700 for a new compressor that I didn’t need. My car is now quieter, and my AC is working. They glued my radiator sensor on with glue and tape, likely while trying to diagnose the issue. They called me at closing time to inform me that they hadn’t found the issue and offered to leave it over the weekend or fix it later. I’m now stuck with an engine light that has never been on since I bought the car. They charged me $397 for the B service, and it would have been nice to get a discount since they broke my sensor and triggered the light! Then you tell me the engine light is on because of the fan. I won’t be returning very soon or just simply don’t know what they are doing, not worth the trip!

I just had a virginia inspection done. they were quick and accurate and informed me of regular maintenance items that would need attention over the next couple of months. I've been going there for years, and they have always worked with me when my budget was tight. They are honest and

Needed a master control switch replacement on my 2009 BMW convertible, as 3/4 windows were stuck down for weeks. After having had multiple shops tell me the part was ok backorder, Foreign Car Service not only was able to get it in under 2 weeks, but also provided the service at a very reasonable rate compared to other quotes I had received. Big thanks to Andreas and the team for a job well done
