I have taken my cars to Herb's for at least 15 years. Mike is The BEST. They know my car's history and uses it like a doctor does to advise me about how to maintain wellness and avoid big problems. When my car was there for its 95,000 oil change, Mike prepped me for the extras that needed to happen at 100,000 miles. I've taken it to Herbs a few times thinking a costly repair was going to be needed, but only to be told the fix was small and way more affordable. My point being that they could have easily ripped me off and they didn't. If you are looking for a place you can trust, you just found it.

My whole family went to Herb's almost exclusively for 20+ years. We've brought him and his guys 6 different cars with all kinds of issues over the years and they do a great job every time. The prices are good, everyone is knowledgeable, and they don't pressure you to buy stuff you don't need. I'm the last one to move out of NOVA in my family, having to leave Herb's has been a loss for all of us. I can't recommend this place enough.

We've brought our Nissan Rogue here several times for oil changes, wheel bearing repairs, and safety inspections. Honest, friendly mechanic. Fast turnaround time. Great communication. Generous and fair in labor costs. Will keep coming back.

I'm here working this week from NC. My tire pressure light came on today. I was terrified because I thought it might be a leak, and before I made that 4-hour trip home, I wanted to get it checked out. I didn't have an appointment, but I said a prayer and asked God to lead me. Well, he did right to Mike! Thankfully, there was no leak, and he put extra air in all my tires. I highly recommend stopping. I am truly thankful for all your help this afternoon.

PROS: 1. Fixed my car, after all. Replaced clutch on '06 Mazda6. 2. Honest and straightforward CONS: 1. It took them almost two weeks. It was supposed to be one week, but got delayed by a couple more days, and... 2. Two more problems were caused by the "fix" which required another week in the shop. First, upon pick up, my car stalled (and kept stalling) the very next morning after the repair, only about 4 miles after driving it, so it was not drive-able. Second, they didn't agree to pay for the towing back to the shop (they don't have a tow truck of their own). Third, while trying to fix this problem they broke my console (the cup holders piece) under the hand brake, next to the gear shift stick. I had to call again and drop off the car for now the third time, so they can fix what they broke. 3. Mike has an attitude. It is definitely not a customer friendly attitude. I can best describe it as a "take it or leave it" attitude. It is the bigger reason why I will not go back. 4. A car problem will likely be solved but it may take you a long wait until it is complete and/or two or more trips to the shop. 5. Not cheap. For only a little more, I could have had the work done at the Mazda dealer. But I wanted to support a local independent shop so I tried Herb's
