Not pleased. I came here roughly a year and a half ago to have my brakes fixed. Something to the numbers of $320. So several days ago my dash lights came on showing an engine issue. I take it to Advanced Auto Parts across the street from their auto center and they plug it in for free and it says P0300 cylinder misfire. So I take it to the Japanese Auto Clinic, since they didn’t seem too high for repair prices previously, and I wait in the waiting room for roughly 15 minutes. It gets mentioned to me the back brakes are very low. So I say that needs to be done then. It concludes with I need to get my spark plugs changed and brakes fixed….for $1,400. That number is crazy for that. My car has since had all those repairs done for $684.91. But what kills me, was that I was charged $130.00 for the look at my car for 15 minutes. I was told that would be taken out of the $1,400, which already was crazy high. I don’t expect the world to give things for free. People’s time isn’t free. But $130! How about $60? Based on 15, even 20 minutes of work, that’s $520 or $390 an hour for labor!? Never will consider them again and happy it happened because it reminded me there are more reasonable companies out there, like the one that cost me $684.91 for rear brakes, plugs and wires.

I've brought my car here several times for routine maintenance and have been very pleased with the work performed. They are efficient and do quality work. They also recommend only necessary service and do not try to upsell customers. I most recently brought my car in after I realized I had a nail in a tire and they were able to plug and fix the tire in under 15 minutes at an affordable cost. I highly recommend their services!

We have been taking our automobiles to Japanese Auto Clinic since we purchased (new) our 1980 Datsun 210. Since then, they've serviced our '87 Corolla; '95 Avalon; and 2011 Camry. We've been happy with the quality and price of the work and the way they've kept our cars on the road over the decades. They've also provided the occasional bit of free service from time-to-time -- replacing windshield wipers and similar small jobs. They've been our neighborhood mechanic for decades and I'm writing this simply to show our appreciation.

I had to have my car towed here after it broke down on the side of the highway. They found a leak in the radiator and were able to replace it in a day! The service person did a good job explaining the other issues they found with my car that need to be fixed soon but not right now. Their prices seem to be competitive and pretty reasonable compared to other indepent auto shops. I will probably be back to get some of that follow up work done soon!
