Had an emergency and discovered my old standby Joyce Motors was defunct. I asked CoPilot AI to find a reliable, trustworthy, small Arlington shop that could service my ancient Jeep. CoPilot's top recommendation after analyzing all online info was Jim's Automotive. Bingo: a brilliant choice! I felt so comfortable that I had some extra work done. Excellent work and the total cost was much less than I expected.

I brought in an old beater (2009 Nissan Sentra) I keep as a spare car in VA to get some spongey brakes looked at, along with a few other tiny tasks like replacing the car battery remote. Very kind, attentive, funny staff with the kind of mentality of an honest, old-school auto repair shop which is hard to find nowadays in Northern Virginia. Prices were more than fair and service was quick. I wouldn't be able to recommend any other shop above this one in the area -- go here for any work!

Was influenced to go to here from a TikTok I came across and regret it. Came to get my brakes done and a tire sensor fixed on my car. A couple hours after dropping my car off I get a call from Richard saying he drove my car around and my brakes didn't make any noise and that they were fine. Cool. Then he tells me I need all my tire sensors fixed because his system isn't picking up on them? I told him I got the front one fixed recently and that my car is giving me accurate readings for 3/4 and it's telling me which one isn't working so I'd really only like to have the one I need changed. He proceeds to tell me that basically if he only fixes one and his system doesn't read the other then none of them will work anymore?? I then repeat what he's trying to tell me to him to confirm and again try to explain to him I only want the one that my car is telling me I need fixed. Now he's flustered and tells me "oh I have 3 total machines to check the codes with, lemme try a different machine and call you back". Unsurprisingly he calls me back 30 mins later to tell me one of the other machines can read all 4 tires and i was right I only needed one replaced. When I get there to pick my car up he's telling me my key fob needed a new battery and that he "changed it out for me". I told him thanks but it says that anytime I leave my car on and take the key out with me" I get the receipt and they charged me for changing the key fob which wasn't needed and I didn't not ask them to do. I ended up being charged $246 for them to "assess" my brakes and change 1 tire sensor. Also forgot to mention that when I got there the guy in the office tried to say that he had me down for yesterday for an appt but that is there mistake because my email stated the correct date. Anyways, if you're still reading this please do t listen to the TikTok review that's viral. I previously got my tire sensor changed for $150 at telegraph auto care on telegraph road. Highly recommend them! They also would not have changed me $79 to look at my brakes.

Very professional and very honest people. Went to dealership for inspection and they told me so many things needed to be replaced immediately. Came here and they checked the car and gave me very honest advice, also provided a reasonable quote. I’m so glad that we have this honest and professional business in the neighborhood.

Had a great experience here! Needed my starter replaced and it was quick and painless, great communication while the car was being worked on, and the price was very fair. Nate was awesome and we'll definitely be back. Thanks guys!!
