Brought my GMC in to get it checked out for a number of issues I was having. I'm not a novice when it comes to my vehicle and knew what was going on before I got there. I needed some expert pinpointing and verification so I could proceed to have them service the vehicle. Outside of the standard maintenance items I knew about, they added issues that definitely weren't wrong with the car to the estimate along with another questionable diagnostic charge while not mentioning a couple of the major problems. The experience gave me the heebie-jeebies. Afterward, I took the car to a couple of my highly rated local independent shops and they identified or verified what i suspected while advising me on what not to overspend on without fixing upstream issues first. That's the customer service I expected from Koons Tysons.

So Donovan was our service advisor. When I first bought the car from Falls church, I was appalled by the amount of issued that unraveled with each passing month. I did not have a good experience there. But. Switching to Tysons koons has been a completely different experience. Donovan has gone above and beyond to help me from the jump. He has thoroughly helped me understand my warranty and coverages. He has facilitated great and consistent communication during each process. He has been patient and understanding while I freak out about a new issue while trying to figure out what to do with transportation. All in all I will continue to have my vehicle serviced here because I feel as though they are transparent and they do their best to make sure me and my children leave In a safe vehicle.

The service was great. Franklin was great. However, I did have to bring the car back 3 times to get everything repaired. I went in for an oil change and came out with nearly $3000 in repair work needed for them to pass the state inspection. Parts not in stock coupled with expensive repairs on a fairly new 2021 Tahoe seems kinda crazy to me.

Needed service for my 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT truck for routine maintenance. Found Koons Tyson online, made my appointment for the next morning. The check in process was smooth, was introduced to my service advisor “Khalid” who took care of me from A-Z. There is a small cafe beside the service department if you feel the need for a snack, drink, etc. Prices were a little high, I got a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on toast with a bottle of water, it was $10.30 (ouch). While waiting for my truck to get a diagnostic check up, I walked around the parking lot, and showroom. I was approached by at least 5-7 employees asking if I needed assistance or if I had any questions on new or used cars for purchase. All employees were friendly and courteous in answering any questions or concerns I had. After less than an hour, Khalid was able to give me a complete diagnosis of what my car needed from bumper to bumper. We were able to agree on the level of work needed, and I was offered a Chevy Equinox loaner car to drive for the day. Less than 12 hours later I received a call from Khalid that my truck was ready. I was able to pay by bill online which I was sent a text ahead of my arrival at the dealership. The entire process at Koons Tyson was a true 1st rate professional job! I would recommend anyone looking for service of their GMC, Chevy, Buick to check them out, you won’t be disappointed.
