I asked him if he could work on my car because it is a higher model Jaguar . I also asked him if he works with warranty companies, which he said he does. The car has used warranty coverage on it. I dropped off my Jaguar F-Type R and met with him in person. He was extremely friendly. The car was throwing a throttle body code along with a catalytic converter code and some electrical codes. I told him the car shakes during idle. After his diagnosis, he said the purge valve was stuck open. I gave him the okay to replace it, and he told me this would fix the throttle body code along with a cleaning of the throttle body, which I also gave him the okay to do . With that, the car was also throwing electrical codes because the secondary battery was dead. He replaced the secondary battery, and the electrical codes went away along with the catalytic converter code. He replaced the purge valve and cleaned the throttle body, then scanned the codes and said there were no codes on the car. After everything was done, I came and picked up the car. When I asked him if he called the warranty, he said he forgot. I reminded him multiple times about the warranty beforehand. He didn't forget; he just didn't want to and lied to my face. He also told me the engine mounts were completely bad and needed replacing immediately at my next appointment, quoting me $ 1,400 for the repair. After I paid for the throttle body and battery repair, I went out to get my car. I noticed power steering fluid on my hood-little drops-and I didn't think much of it. I just wiped it with my fingers. I noticed during stoplights the car still shakes during idle like before. As soon as I got into my neighborhood, the car threw the engine light. I opened the hood and saw they spilled power steering fluid all over the left side of my engine bay and on the hood. They didn't refill my power steering fluid it was low. I hooked up my code reader, which is specifically for Jaguar and Land Rover cars, and it has one code : the same throttle body code. I called Morty and explained to him that the car has the same throttle body code and it still shakes while also telling him about the fluid spill all over the left-hand side of the engine bay. He immediately cut me off as I was talking and started speaking over me , saying that just happens when you remove the hose, why am I complaining, and for me to wash it with water. Then he accused me of clearing that code for the throttle body because it's not showing up on his system after he was done working on the car. How can I clear the code when I brought in the car with a check engine light ? He then kept saying he was busy working on a car-yeah, he's busy after taking my money. He ended the call quickly . He was extremely rude on the phone and was mad that I even called him about this. After this happened, I took the car to the dealership and got a full diagnosis. They told me the throttle body was bad. They checked my motor mounts and told me they were completely fine. After I got this news, I called Morty again to discuss this. As I was talking, he cut me off, yelling over me, saying, "I didn't lie" and " I don't care, rate me 1 star"-completely unprofessional on the phone. He didn't address a single thing I said and hung up. I wasn't going to leave a review, but that's all he cares about rather than being honest with me. Here it is.

Been going to Morty for at least 10 years. He is less expensive than dealers and provides as high or higher quality. He has enabled me to keep many higher millage Honda and Toyota reliable. There are less expensive places around, but its risky to try them. I like keeping my family vehicles for a long time, and I feel Morty's work is worth it.

Morty is the Land Cruiser's God Father, he's been servicing my truck for years and recommends exactly what I should fix and NOT fix. Very honest and kind gentleman! The secret is out! Congrats Morty. 6/25/2022: Morty fixed two sensor check engine lights in my 2006 Prius, the sensors communicate with the battery. Im now getting 53mpg again versus 45mpg. He is a wizard. 6/20/2024: Morty continues to work on my LC. Some leaky exhaust areas that need to be welded. The money I saved by not going to Toyota is astronomical. He and his team are craftsmen and their time is respected in my book.

They are extremely good people. Wiygul automotive in Herndon messed up my lug nuts and refused to take responsibility! They didn't even offer to repair what they broke and very rude and unprofessional. I came to Morty's auto care and they were kind enough to take it out and replace it without appointment for so little charge ( very rare now day with mechanic shops). These guys are real deal and very professional and friendly. Highly recommend this shop.

My family has been using Morty’s for over a decade. He’s always done fabulous work and is upfront about what repairs are absolutely necessary and which can wait. He’s helped us decide when to repair and when the repair is not worth the money and we should think about a new car. We trust him wholeheartedly and appreciate his professionalism and excellent quality work. We won’t take our cars anywhere else.
