Finally found mechanics I can trust! MT Vernon Auto Repair shop gave me a fair quote, stuck to it, and even showed me the old parts they replaced. The waiting area was clean, air conditioned, and the people were very friendly. A rare find in the auto repair world. I already went over 3 times with two different vehicles and the best experiences. I highly recommend this shop for all types of Asian, European and American cars.

Took my 2000 Honda Civic Lx to these gentleman and they provided fast and efficient maintenance for my beloved Honda. They got me in fast and replaced a dying alternador with a rebuilt one I brought with me. (Bring your own parts, save yourself some hassle) I was quoted an extremely fair price and work was completed in the time frame they told me. I highly recommend Mt Vernon Auto Repair for all your routine and complex maintenance on your vehicles. I'd give them 10 stars if I could!

Used to have great prices. Not anymore. Quoted $360 just for labor to replace 4 spark plugs on a 4 cylinder SUV, plus replace the air filter and cabin filter. Said the work would take one hour. When I pointed out this worked out to $360/hour, the technician immediately said "ok then, it will take 2 hours". Uuhh... not helping. I'm sorry but $360/hour (or even $180/hr) for routine car maintenance labor is a bit much. Again, this was just the LABOR portion of the quote. So I only agreed to have the spark plugs replaced. Nothing else. They quoted over $360, including parts. I knew I was getting ripped off but didn't have time to make other arrangements. When I picked the car up, they claimed it had taken 2.5 hours to replace the four spark plugs. Did some research --- sorry that is well beyond the norm for a simple job of just replacing four spark plugs. Will not use them again. Be warned.
