BUYER BEWARE❗️Shoddy workmanship and poor customer service. If you value your time and expect high quality work, DO NOT COME HERE. I have a 2007 Lexus GS450h that came in on 12/26 with an ABS issue. Mo, the owner, recommended I change my water pump because he heard sounds coming from the engine. I agreed to the recommended work and received the car back on 1/5. They said they were waiting for a part for the ABS issue but replaced the water pump. Before leaving the lot, I checked under the hood. My engine and fluid covers were loose and connected by only 1-2 bolts. I asked them to properly install the covers before I left. Over a month later, I did not hear from the shop about the ABS issue. However, the heat in my car stopped working and the engine began smoking on 2/11. I immediately got the car towed back to the shop, first thing Thursday morning. I did not hear back from them all day. When I called on Friday afternoon, Mo informed me I would have to wait until Monday to get a diagnosis. I reminded him the water pump he recommended is now failing, and questioned the lack of urgency in addressing a potential installation error. He agreed and said he would look at the car Friday before close of business. I didn’t hear from him. On Saturday my dad calls up and they tell him my car has a separate issue that requires at least $350 worth of labor, not including parts. So issue number 1: ABS was never resolved. Issue number 2: failing water pump not addressed. But they were able to look at my car long enough to determine a third and unrelated issue that would cost hundreds more to repair…hmmm. So if you weren’t able to look at the car until Monday, how’d you determine I needed $350 more work done? It’s obvious they found the installation issue and instead of fixing it under warranty, they tried to trump up charges to make it worth their time. I called the shop and told them not to work on anything further. I had it towed to another place, who let me know Old Town Auto Repair improperly installed my water pump, broke a bolt, and did not seal the thermometer properly causing me to lose coolant. Fran, the assistant at Old Town Auto Repair sought to cover their tracks by trying to have me sign an invoice stating they told me there was an emergency causing delays (they didn’t), my water pump was under warranty (they didn’t) and there was no antifreeze found (they didn’t). I refused to sign. It’s clear this shop did not want to honor my existing warranty and sought to charge me for miscellaneous work to cover the cost of the water pump fix. They have no sense of urgency to fix problems they created and blame the customer for everything. These people are frauds riding off the good reviews of past management. They have been reported to BBB and they’re not even accredited. Leave your vehicle at your own risk.

What a great experience! I saw them in late January for a state inspection and oil change. (On the website I was just able to sign up for the state inspection but in person they said they had time for the oil change too.) I ended up needing a number of things to pass and they actually drove to get the parts so it would be done some day. The service here is exemplary and the people really know their stuff. It was so refreshing to go somewhere where customer service was so highly prioritized. I also had a great experience with the office staff. Everyone is just so helpful here.

Great mechanic shop. My wife’s car broke down and I heard good things about old town auto. Took my car on Tuesday morning around 10 am and had it repaired the same day. It needed a starter. The shop diagnosed it quickly and ordered the parts and did a great job. They’re very reasonable, I was expecting to pay much more . Bottom line. Professional and honest shop. Highly recommended.

This is a very experienced and honest mechanic. He fixed my 270,000 mile Prius hybrid w rebuilt engine and in-line batteries. He also helped repair under support system in my near-classic Jaguar. Very reasonable rates.

I can’t be more thankful. They were very helpful and honest. One of the best services I got. Keeping my car clean, honest advices and affordable prices. Normally,I don’t do reviews. But they deserve being reviewed because they gave me the best service I had comparing with my previous experiences. Thanks folks. Keep going with your great job
