My family and I have been coming to the Pep Boys Hybla Valley location on Richmond Hwy for years, and our cars are always serviced relatively quickly without sacrificing quality. The staff is always helpful and honest, but not pushy. On my most recent visit for a routine oil change, Happy at the front desk made me aware of some recommended future maintenance and tune ups based on my car’s current mileage, and even provided me with a reasonably-priced estimate compared to other places where my car’s previously been serviced at. 10/10 definitely recommend!

I ordered tires that were delivered to Pep Boys for installation. I was delighted with the experience. It took about 2 hours all in, but there were many local shops to spend time in. The staff were friendly and happy to check on progress/explain things to me. They were also the most reasonably priced tire install I could find locally. Overall, I'd highly recommend them.

went to Pep Boys for a routine oil change. After the service, they advised me to replace the engine filter. When I got home and tried to open the hood to check the filter myself, I discovered that the hood latch was missing. I immediately called the store, and instead of taking responsibility or even showing concern, they were dismissive. The next day they called back claiming the latch was “already missing” before service. However, this was never mentioned during their inspection, nor was it documented on the invoice. If a critical component like that was missing beforehand, it should have been clearly noted — especially since they accessed the hood and recommended additional work. The lack of accountability and poor customer service is disappointing. I came in for a simple oil change and left with a new problem and no support. I expected better professionalism and transparency.

Never would bring my car here ever again even if it was the last standing body shop. I made an appointment slot for 0900 Sunday morning due to travel plans for Sunday evening. I already told the associate clerk the urgency of my service request on Friday, so I came in with high expectations of great customer service and expected a quick turnaround. I get there at 0859, with 3 other people. I held the door open for the elder to make it inside and I notice 2 of us, myself included, have appointments for 9am and the other two are walk ins. After 40 minutes of the technician trying to get my VIN #, mileage, etc he offers me to reschedule to tomorrow. I respectfully declined and mentioned again I had travel plans and made an appointment for 0900 and I didn’t show up late so why was he pushing for me to come back. He said that he wanted to do the walk ins first, and I questioned the action because they didn’t arrive before me nor did they have an appointment. To make it worse, Cody tried to blame management for not having enough technicians on the schedule, like he wasn’t the one who disregarded my appointment slot. I told him the only car who should be done before mine was the other 0900 appointment time and he simply couldn’t wrap his brain around that concept. If I had another question for the associate clerk to understand why he felt the need to shift ONLY my appointment time, he would try to talk over me before he even heard the entire question, which was quite distasteful. I encourage the team to listen to the full question a customer asks you before you give responses or find another job where you don’t work with people. Management wasn’t in office, but I got the store number and corporates information if I don’t hear something back in an appropriate timeframe. This was ridiculous to say the least.

Was very happy and satisfied with my visit. Happy, the gentleman who helped check me in was very understanding and helpful when I was trying, not so helpfully, to explain the noise my car was making. For diagnostic and sensor check, then an unexpected battery change I was out within 2 hours after my appointment time started. May seem like I had to stay for a while there, but trust me, 2 hours was quick compared to some of the other places I've been.
