This experience raises serious concerns about honesty and professional responsibility. I brought my vehicle in due to a noticeable vibration. Based on well-documented issues among Tesla owners, I specifically requested that the inside of the tire be checked for foam separation. This concern was dismissed at the front counter, and I was told the issue was “most likely just balancing,” despite my repeated explanation. After over two hours, multiple test drives, and an $80 inspection fee, I was told that a wheel was bent and that replacement was recommended. The vibration remained unresolved. Before leaving, I directly asked whether the tire had been opened and the foam inspected. I was clearly told no, and that only limited checks were performed. Later, when I called the shop, the same was confirmed again. I then asked whether the inspection fee would be refunded if another shop confirmed the foam was the actual cause. I was told this would be discussed with the manager. Approximately 10 minutes later, the shop called back and abruptly stated that the foam had been checked and that there was no issue—directly contradicting multiple prior statements. This inconsistency is deeply troubling. That same evening, I visited another tire shop where I was allowed to visually confirm the inspection. The foam inside the tire was clearly detached and deteriorating. Once corrected, the vibration was completely resolved. This indicates a failure to perform a basic inspection that was specifically requested, followed by misrepresentation of services performed. Had I accepted their recommendation, I could have unnecessarily spent over $350 replacing a wheel that was not defective. I addressed this issue with the manager the following day, and he handled the situation professionally. The $80 inspection fee was fully refunded, and I also received an apology from the front counter staff member. While I appreciate how the manager resolved the matter, my concern remains regarding the initial diagnosis and the conflicting information that was provided. Consumers deserve accurate diagnostics and truthful communication, especially when safety-related components are involved. I strongly advise others to seek a second opinion before accepting any costly recommendations from this shop.

my tire blew and I stripped a lug bolt trying to get the spare on. they had me in and went ahead and did my emissions as well and I was out in about an hour. the staff were very friendly and the price was great. probably the best place I could have lost my tire near!

I can’t say enough positive things about Piedmont. They are the most trustworthy and honest people I’ve worked with in a long time. If there was one negative it’s that they are so very busy. It takes patience to get in, but that is because they are so awesome.

Made an appt for 8:00 for an oil change, arrived on time. Just left at 9:35. Asked what the holdup was around 9:25, was told that during the change, the check-engine light suddenly popped on and they couldn’t figure out why. I told them I had to leave in 5 min and miraculously the oil change was finished and the light was off. Went here previously with great service, not sure if management has changed or not what. Edit- light still on after all

We got a flat tire just before closing and these guys were able to fit us in right before closing time. We got the flat tire repaired and replaced for our trip. Ryan helped us get everything set up and was phenomenal to work with—his customer service was excellent! Highly recommend!
