My experience with Rob's Customs & Restorations was a bit different from more recent reviews. I brought my 87 Monte Carlo SS to Rob, due to engine issues I wasnt able to find or diagnose myself. In less than a month they were able to identify the issue and provide me a quote. He also gave me advice on reasonable engine options that may better fit my setup. I moved out of state, due to my occupation, but Rob maintained contact and sent pictures and videos of the progress.Due to my position at the time and a newborn, I wasnt able to ship the vehicle back as soon as either of us would have preferred. Nonetheless, Rob maintained custody of my Monte without any issues and worked with me on scheduling. Even after receiving my vehicle Rob followed up and made sure everything was up to par without any issues. I thank Rob and everyone at the shop for working with me and bringing my 406 back to life. (Included a couple photos from the shop)

My experience with Robs Customs & Restorations: I was looking for a long time for a shop that would restore my 1991 NA Miata. I could not believe that so many "restoration shops" refused the job entirely. Finally I gave Rob a call, and he had me bring my car in the same day. Right then and there he put together a contract, gave me a price and started the work. Below is what I requested to have done: Miata Car Restoration 1. Strip lights (Front and back), trim, exterior components 2. Remove rotted areas from under carriage 3. Strip, clean, and chemical treat undercarriage. 4. Coat, paint and seal underbody and framing 5. Remove rust and repair damaged area in trunk 6. Paint and coat trunk area 7. Flush out and delete Antenna area 8. Replace fenders, hood, and bumpers 9. Repair old, rusted areas on exterior of body, put new metal 10. Repair and de-rust quarter panel, rocker panels, doors and doors jams 11. Remove rust from firewall/inner fender area and engine bay 12. Sand exterior of vehicle, remove dents and scratches 13. Prime and block vehicle, seal /paint customer specify color to include jams. 14. Cleat coat vehicle 15. Reassemble wet sand buff polish detail 16. Delete wind shield fluid holes 17. Paint rims black 18. Paint door handles black 19. Suspension The project is still on going scheduled to be done in the next month or so. Once I get it back I will post pictures of each portion of the work and you can be the judge. However I just spent an hour in the shop with Rob looking over everything that has been done, inside and out side of the car, and the amount of work that has been done, along with the quality of the work is absolutely outstanding and well above my exceptions. Fresh shiny new metal where rotted holes in the frame and panels used to be, perfect frame coating, super professional work. I must have drop shipped him about 30 parts by now from Carbon Miata, and he had them all in protective wrap in their own dedicated room. I am so happy with my experience so far I had to come on and give him a review. Once the job is complete I will post a full set of before and after pictures, and a finalized review. But so far Rob is absolutely killing this job! Big thanks to Rob and Team!

I had a portion of my frame welded and the work was done well and properly. My experience otherwise was negative. The timeframe kept getting extended (ok no big deal. I even drove an hour there and hour home just to find out it wasn’t done when it was supposed to be. That wasn’t enough to cause a bad experience). I was told the price reflected them taping off my undercarriage exhaust and bumper when spraying undercoating and it would be really nice. When I picked up nothing had been taped. Overspray on my exhaust (no big deal but not what I was told). The part that was bad was my INTERIOR cargo area was oversprayed! My carpet and panels inside the car. Also when I paid for the job the price changed by several hundred dollars. This was not the experience I had hoped for (although my issue IS resolved and I’m happy about that). There was dirt stains all over my car. Floor steering wheel trunk panels etc.

Highly Recommend going to Rob With your classic cars! I was referred by another shop to bring my 1967 Camaro to Robs. Came in for wheel bearings, some interior touch-ups, and he also sent pics of other findings and let me decide what to proceed with. I ended up getting steering components and new tires this visit, He also dialed in my carburetor and made some recommendations for future small stuff. I could not be happier about the work performed. Not to mention he estimated about 1-2 weeks to complete everything and he did it in less than a week! Now i get to enjoy my car for Father’s Day weekend. Rob is a good & honest car guy, and i will be bringing my cars to him moving forward.

My husband dropped off his '66 C-10 truck almost 3 years ago. It was originally supposed to be done in 1 year. All attempts to see the truck or be sent pictures of the truck are given the run around. Everytime he goes to see the truck, Rob is not there or the vehicle has been moved somewhere else. He did go one time and was shown a hood and fenders but we haven't laid eyes on the rest of our truck ever. Everytime he calls, there's always some personal emergency or employee issue given as an excuse why he can't see the truck or it's not ready. He's stolen $15,000 from us and now we're suing. Absolutely can't recommend this shop unless you want to throw some money away. Never dealt with a shadier business owner in my entire life.
