Professional service doesn’t mean rookie mistakes. I called to speak with the Service Director(Joe). Joe’s clearly busy with a shop that’s likely making mistakes like the one done to my vehicle. While Victor was very kind I think making a mistake as simple as leaving my vehicle missing a cap is a costly mistake. I paid $215 for a diagnostic and promised professionalism that certainly could use some work. This diagnostic took over the projected time when I already mentioned another mechanic viewed the vehicle and assured me of the suspected issue. Glad I didn’t trust this shop to perform the quoted service. Looking forward to discussing what went wrong and hopefully footage of the incident as my engine could have suffered permanent damage. I was told Joe is busy and will get back to me. Considering the contact forms and website are a bit outdated I’m hoping that this brings awareness to customers to check their vehicle before driving off instead of trusting this service department to do things correctly. Update: Joe knows his department. I appreciate the getting back to me and wish him well in managing this time of year. He improved upon my experience and renewed some hope in returning. Though I won’t choose his quote this time around I would return with new expectations.

I took my Subaru to Stohlman to have my A/C serviced in June 2025. They told me that the wrong refrigerant or non-EPA compliant refrigerant was used in my vehicle. After they attempted to service my A/C, they said their equipment was contaminated, and they would have to withdraw it from service. There was nothing more they could do. They drained my refrigerant, and I was left without A/C for the entire summer and suffered through temperatures up to triple digits, which is not easy for a senior. It appeared that the only way I could address the issue would be to replace the entire A/C system, which would be over $5000 according to an estimate I received. I learned in the past week at Farrish Subaru that there was no sign of the refrigerant issue Stohlman described. It appears, in retrospect, that all Stohlman wanted to do was sell me a car because one of their car salesmen called me on the phone before I left the service department after I was told of my A/C’s status. I wasted valuable time because of Stohlman Service department’s dishonesty. I spent hours writing to my attorney and governmental agencies to notify them that the dealership where I bought my car was at fault for the A/C issue. However, the real culprit was Stohlman because they were not truthful. My advice is to steer clear of Stohlman’s service department.

My Forester’s check engine light came on around 9am and the service department got me in with no appointment and fixed the car the same day (on a Saturday). Amazing experience from Jenny and Carlos!

Had a great experience once again. Victor, my service rep is charming and honest. Their prices are reasonable and for the peace of mind that the people working on your vehicle are trsubaruto do work on subarus, it may be worth going to them vs the mechanic in your neighborhood who forgets to change ourlt your gasket or over fills the oil or doesnt actually balance your tires after rotation or didnt really check the mounts....the work at stohlman is warrantied and they have been around a while. I prefer this location over sterling!

Not to be trusted. I brought my car in for scheduled maintenance. Stohlman's service tech over torqued and stripped the differential drain plug, causing a heavy leak. He tried to hide it, lied about it, and Stohlman repeatedly denied any leak even though the car was dripping fluid. Incredibly weird and irresponsible. Sent me away in an unsafe condition. Will never go back.
