I’ve been looking for an auto center that is close by and also trustworthy — and I found it with Stone Springs Auto Center! I brought my mom’s car in last week for her annual VA inspection, and the inspector kindly brought me back to see the lower control arm bushing is starting to crack. It was fine enough to pass the inspection, but he said that it’s something we should consider replacing this year. I appreciated that he let me see the issue myself and didn’t pressure me to get it replaced right then because when mechanics do that, it feels like a sales tactic only. I thought — ok, I feel like I can trust this place to not try to take advantage of me, like the dealer usually does. Because of the positive experience with my mom’s car, I scheduled an appt for my car to get the brake fluid flushed. In January, I had my oil changed at BMW Fairfax, and just like they always do, they tried to pressure me into adding on services with wildly inflated prices. It annoys me when the dealer’s service dept does this because they assume I don’t know any better and am incapable of looking up average prices myself to see they’re price gouging. Thankfully, I brought my car into Stone Springs Auto this week. I arrived on time and they started the service on time while I waited in their lobby. I was pleasantly surprised when my car was finished in less than an hour. In addition to the friendly service by all the guys, THE PRICE WAS RIGHT! Thank you again and I will definitely be back for future service!

Took my Honda accord for service here. It needed approximately 4k in repairs which I agreed to have done. I dropped off my car on Thursday and didn’t hear anything until I called on Saturday. When I asked about the “Honda” the person, who refused to give me their name seemed annoyed. I eventually came into the shop to get my car and the individual was defensive. Telling me I didn’t know anything about the car business. When I asked why no one bothered to call me to update me, he said that he thought someone else had called. Service is fine, but the individual who refused to identify himself needs a few courses on customer relations management, or maybe not answer the phone. Since the individual refused to give me his name, I can only tell you that he is the bearded guy there.

Communication is terrible. Told me my car was ready Nobody had the common decency to CALL ME and let me know my company's truck had failed the emissions test It failed because of a check engine light on my truck caused by a gas cap issue. They could have simply called me, they have my number, instead I show up and now I have to bring it back. That's a terrible way to treat customers. When I brought it there they couldn't understand what I was saying. There is no transparency in pricing. I was told to "read the wall" as an explanation to all this. I do not get a trustworthy feeling from the place. I wish I had never dropped my truck off.

Stone Spring Auto Center is a tremendous neighborhood mechanic shop. I have taken my Hondas to them for years now, and am constantly impressed with their professionalism, kindness, and expert work. They take the time to be sure I understand any problems my cars may have, and they fix them with quality that rivals a twice-as-expensive visit to the dealer. Recently, my Civic had an electrical problem that was difficult to diagnose, and their mechanics worked extra time on the car searching for the problem without charging for their extra time. This is just one of many similar great experiences with them. I highly recommend you put your trust in them to fix your car.
