I had a great experience with Triton Hybrid Battery Repair. After being quoted over $11,000 by the dealership, they were able to replace my hybrid battery with a used pack that had about 50,000 miles on it for a fraction of the cost. The price was very fair, and they were upfront about the one-year warranty and what to expect. Sal was especially helpful — knowledgeable, honest, and took the time to explain everything so I felt comfortable with the repair. The turnaround time was quick, and my car is running great. It’s hard to find a shop that specializes in hybrids and actually makes you feel confident in the work, but they definitely did. I’ll keep this review updated on how the car does long-term, but hopefully I won’t have to lol. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing hybrid battery repair or replacement.

Sal is a commensurate professional and goes out of his way to provide the best customer service. He made short work of what we thought would be a long and expensive repair and had my daughter’s Prius running within an hour for a great price, I’d give him 10 stars if I could! My daughter recently bought a 2004 Toyota Prius and could not get it started after only two weeks of owning it, even after trying to jump start with a portable jumper. I showed up and attempted to jump her with my Venza but even with power to the accessories it would not start. Her battery had gone dead a few times over the past few weeks and was getting weak so we bought a new battery and installed it with no joy either. At this point we had tried everything and things were looking bleak, I googled hybrid repair in the area and after perusing a bit I happened upon Triton Hybrid Battery Repair, the reviews were genuine and spoke to Sal's outstanding service so I gave him a call and left a message. Sal called back with 5 minutes and after explaining what was going on, he said he could squeeze us in that same day, run a diagnostic, and let us know what was wrong by close of business. AAA towed her car to his shop that afternoon and we arrived shortly after; Sal was very personable and friendly, putting us at ease, and we could tell he knew Priuses inside and out so we left confident that he would figure out what was going on. We got back home and within the hour, he called us up and let us know he had the car running! Amazing! We were floored! Turned out a sensor went bad and wouldn't allow the car to start, and he happened to have the part in the shop and swapped it in; all for less than the exorbitant diagnostic fee another shop was going to charge. We came and picked it up and he pointed out a few other non-critical things to be mindful of and recommended we swap the Diehard for a Toyota Battery which has a better warranty and price. I cannot recommend Sal enough, he knows hybrids (especially Priuses) inside and out, and goes the extra mile for his customers. He has gained two permanent customers out of me and my daughter. Thank you Sal, I appreciate you going out of your way to get my daughter's Prius up and running and back on the road. God bless.

There's not enough great things to say about Sal. I brought in my 2007 Prius, for some specific problems and a check-up, and he was great. He does honest, straightforward, and excellent quality work at a fair price. He took the time to explain things, explained and fixed the problems, and taught me things about my car that I didn't know. I'll take my car back to him in a heartbeat.

I found Triton on Next Door and was I glad I did. He is truly the Prius Whisperer. The garage location gives you pause but I have used him twice and he is excellent. My car came out running beautifully. He is honest and efficient. I would recommend him to anyone and I drive over 30 miles to use him. I wouldn’t take my car to anyone else.

We eventually got our car back and the mechanic agreed to a partial discount, but our overall experience was very stressful. We originally brought the vehicle in while it was still drivable and expected clear communication and approval before any major work. Instead, significant repairs were done without prior agreement on cost or scope, and we were left with a car that was no longer drivable until we found another specialist to complete the needed programming. Communication was slow, and we had to push to get updates. While the issue was resolved in the end, the process was much more difficult and stressful than it should have been. For these reasons, I cannot confidently recommend this service based on our experience.
